Jenna Dewan Tatum Did What Any of Us Would If J.Lo Sent Us A Pair of Boots


The most underrated part of being a celebrity is probably getting gifts from other celebrities. Everyday is basically a holiday, with the constant flow of packages from friends sharing their new collaborations, brands, or projects—all waiting to be unboxed. Jenna Dewan Tatum received a particularly epic surprise this week from none other than Jennifer Lopez, and had an appropriate level of chill about it.

The actress and dancer was delighted to get a pair of knee-high, lace-up boots from J.Lo’s collaboration with Giuseppe Zanotti. And when you get a box from J.Lo in the mail, you must document it in the most epic fashion. And so, as soon as Dewan Tatum opened it up, she immediately went to her closet, changed her outfit, and busted out the Kira Kira. (So, she’s basically us every time our online orders finally arrived.)

“Only @jlo can make a girl drop everything, put her favorite bodysuit on and take a spontaneous random picture in her closet using Kira Kira,” she captioned the selfie. “I love these boots woman thank you! Jlo x Giuseppe (Also- yes my closet is a mess. It generally is)”—take a look at her post.

In the picture, Dewan Tatum is wearing the Marisa, a pair of black suede cuissard boots from Giuseppe for Jennifer Lopez’s latest collection, the crystal embellishments really popping thanks to the Kira Kira (and her A+ selfie-taking.)

Copying her look isn’t cheap, though: Those J.Lo-designed kicks will set you back $2,795. Guess we’ll just have to live vicariously through Dewan Tatum’s Instagram for now. Le sigh.

Jenna Dewan Tatum Is So Gorgeous Without Makeup It's Almost Un-Human


If there’s one thing we can always count on Jenna Dewan Tatum for, it’s how real she is. Even if her life—and her dancing, and her hair, and her husband—seem totally unreal at times. (We mean, have you seen her Pony video? Come on.) The woman is nothing but her fun-loving self.

Among our long list of jealousies includes any time she posts a stripped-down photo of herself on social media. With skin like hers, how couldn’t you hate double-tap just a tiiiiny bit? Which brings us to her latest Instagram. She posted a photo of herself without her usual smoky eye and highlighted skin—and without a filter.

This isn’t totally new for JDT. Channing once posted the most gorgeous no-makeup photos of her that are needless to say, amazing. And she’s been known to take some pretty stunning first-thing-the-morning photos of herself. But today she opened up about something that really puts the work behind her skin care routine into perspective.

In her caption she wrote, “Sooo no reason selfie. But I do want to say I am shocked that I am able to go mostly makeup free now with no filters or retouching etc. Those who have had melasma know it’s hard to manage and big thanks to @simonourianmd1 and his magical coolaser!!”

Now, she does say that she’s “mostly makeup free” in this pic, but it’s clear her skin looks healthy and radiant. She thanks Dr. Simon Ourian (a name you probably know if you keep up with the Kardashians) and the Coolaser for helping her with her melasma. It’s a skin condition that women often develop during or after pregnancy, or even if they’re over-exposed to the sun. It appears on your face in dark patches and requires plenty of protection with sunscreen.

Melasma affects plenty of women, and as Dewan Tatum says in her post, it’s hard to deal with. While many of us can’t afford to see a celebrity dermatologist to get it treated, it’s nice to see Dewan Tatum getting real about her skin issues. If at the very least to know what celebrities do to get that kind of glow.

Jenna Dewan Tatum Wore a Sheer Dress, and Channing Tatum Couldn't Take His Eyes Off Her

Jenna Dewan Tatum and Channing Tatum are one of those couples that seems like they’re having fun together at all times. Not to mention that they clearly can’t keep their hands off each other, even after eight years of marriage. So it’s no surprise that when Jenna stepped out at the premiere of Channing’s new film Kingsman: The Golden Circle in a Zac Posen dress that showed off her curves, Channing was totally here for it.

The dress in question was an effervescent and ethereal princess-style white tulle gown that featured a structured top and a voluminous, light green embroidered bottom. The bottom half was also very sheer, with Jenna’s legs (and even a bit of her bum) peaking out from the delicate material. When asked about his wife’s dress by Entertainment Tonight, Channing, right on cue, replied, “I love that. She’s got a great booty.”

Jenna herself though demurred when asked about the dress, saying, “There’s only a little longer I can do this.” (We disagree, Jenna.)

Jenna has no problem showing off her body on social media, either—the dancer explained to Entertainment Tonight the reason behind posting a picture to Instagram of herself wearing a thong (which you can see below): “That was me being proud of doing 800,000 squats.”

Channing has also taken to social media to post pictures showing how much he appreciates his wife. The Magic Mike star previously posted a black and white snap of a fully nude Jenna sleeping in bed, captioning it “Nap time = The Best Time ? ? ?.”

Jenna Dewan Tatum's New Blunt Bob Is Gorgeous


Mark one more celebrity down for the blunt bob trend. Khloé Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, and Vanessa Hudgens (briefly) all got the cut this summer, and now Jenna Dewan Tatum is bookending hers with a similarly cool style. Given that the World of Dance host started the season with long, beachy, pure-mermaid waves, we’re here for this evolution in her look. Even better? The chop makes the most of her leftover highlights, with the fresh ends adding piecey interest to her shorter length.

The cut comes courtesy of celebrity hairstylist Jen Atkin, who we’ve come to mentally refer to as the kingmaker of lobs (she also whipped up Kardashian and Jenner’s short styles). Dewan Tatum’s take is like the Goldilocks square in the middle of those two: where Kardashian’s bob played up her hair’s volume, and Jenner’s strands lent themselves to a more streamlined silhouette, Dewan Tatum’s slightly graduated ends have just enough bulk to give off that “chic, but easy” vibe.

So the evidence is before us: blunt bobs are happening, hard. But looking at Dewan Tatum’s cut, it’s also incredible just how good she makes streaky highlights look. Where they normally throw us back to 2004 in a bad way (curse you, Sun In), she actually makes them look great. That’s probably in part thanks to her expertly ombréd tips, but combined with her just-slightly shorter ends towards the back, the effect feels entirely new. Which isn’t something that’s easy to do, but Dewan Tatum’s cut is convincing.
