Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth Are Separating After Less Than a Year of Marriage

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are separating after less than a year of marriage, according to a surprising new report from People.

“Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time,” a rep for Cyrus told the publication. “Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”

This comes after Cyrus posted an Instagram of herself without her wedding ring. “Mute me if you don’t want SPAMMED,” she wrote in the post’s caption.

Naturally, people on social media had some feelings about the break up. “Had the unfortunate job of breaking the news tonight to many of my friends that Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus broke up,” one user wrote. “I thought those crazy kids were going to make it!! Even with all their ups and downs!!”

Cyrus and Hemsworth met in 2009 on the set of the Nicholas Sparks romance The Last Song and first got engaged in 2012. They broke up a year later, though—only to then reconcile in 2015. Three years after that, in November 2018, the couple married in an intimate ceremony.

“I think it’s very confusing to people that I’m married,” Cyrus told Elle in a recent interview. “But my relationship is unique. And I don’t know that I would ever publicly allow people in there because it’s so complex, and modern, and new that I don’t think we’re in a place where people would get it.”

She continued, “I mean, do people really think that I’m at home in a fucking apron cooking dinner? I’m in a hetero relationship, but I still am very sexually attracted to women. People become vegetarian for health reasons, but bacon is still fucking good, and I know that. I made a partner decision. This is the person I feel has my back the most. I definitely don’t fit into a stereotypical wife role. I don’t even like that word.”

All 5 Living First Ladies Have Spoken out About Trump Separating Immigrant Families at the Border

All five living first ladies have officially weighed in on the Trump immigration policy of separating undocumented children and their parents at the border.

On Sunday, former First Lady Laura Bush published a heartfelt Washington Post op-ed about the policy and Melania Trump released a statement saying that she “hates to see children separated from their families.” Yesterday, Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Rosalynn Carter also spoke up, expressing their views on Twitter.

As Time reported, Carter released a statement that was tweeted by The Carter Center, the non-profit organization she started with her husband Jimmy Carter. In the message, she recounted her own experiences working with refugees as first lady and called out the current administration’s policies.

“When I was first lady, I worked to call attention to the plight of refugees fleeing Cambodia for Thailand, I visited Thailand and witnessed firsthand the trauma of parents and children separated by circumstance beyond their control,” Carter said. “The practice and policy today of removing children from their parents’ care at our border with Mexico is disgraceful and a shame to our country.”

Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton also expressed their views on Twitter. Obama retweeted a link to Bush’s Washington Post op-ed, writing, “Sometimes truth transcends party.” Clinton also shared her thoughts through a tweet and said, “What’s happening to families at the border right now is a humanitarian crisis. Every parent who has ever held a child in their arms, every human being with a sense of compassion and decency, should be outraged.”

In her op-ed, Bush wrote that the government “should not be in the business of warehousing children in converted box stores or making plans to place them in tent cities in the desert outside of El Paso.” She also said, “I appreciate the need to enforce and protect our international boundaries, but this zero-tolerance policy is cruel. It is immoral. And it breaks my heart.”

Melania Trump shared in her statement that she “hopes both sides of the aisle can finally come together to achieve successful immigration reform.”

The policy of forcible separations has come under fire as videos and stories have emerged, showing children in detention centers. Protests and demonstrations have erupted in cities across the country, according to CNN.

Calls for Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen to resign are pouring out of Washington after a Monday evening White House press briefing, where the administration doubled down on the zero tolerance policy.

Anna Faris and Chris Pratt Are Separating After 8 Years of Marriage

UPDATE: December 2, 2017

Anna Faris and Chris Pratt have officially filed for divorce, according to a People story published Friday, December 1. Pratt filed legal documents ending their eight-year marriage citing “irreconcilable differences” and asked for joint custody of their son Jack, who’s 5. Faris filed shortly after and is also asking for joint custody, as well as the right to receive child support. According to the documents, the couple legally separated a month before they went public with it.

“We’ll always have each other and be incredible friends,” Faris said about her and Pratt’s relationship in October. “There is still so much laughter in our lives together, and he is so proud of me, still.”

She continued, “We watched each other grow, and he still cracks me up all the time. And I think I crack him up—unless he’s a really good actor and great at faking laughter.”

Original Story:

Pour one out for everyone’s favorite comedic couple. Anna Faris and Chris Pratt have just announced that they’re separating after eight years of marriage.

In a joint statement released on their various social media channels, the couple announced:

“Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried
hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed. Our son has two
parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this
situation as private as possible moving forward. We still have love
for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to
have the deepest respect for one another. —Chris Pratt and Anna Faris”

The two met in 2007 on the set of Take Me Home Tonight and later married in July 2009. They have one four-year-old son, Jack, who—if you follow Faris or Pratt on Instagram, then you already know—is the cutest.

Unfortunately, we know things hadn’t been easy for couple over the past year. Back in December 2016, Faris sat down with Isla Fisher for her podcast, Anna Faris Is Unqualified, to address the various tabloid rumors circulating that Pratt had been cheating. Specifically, she said they made her feel “incredibly, very insecure.”

“I just remember feeling so hurt in a way that bothered me because I didn’t want to think of myself as somebody who could be bothered by…tabloid shit,” Faris revealed. She later added, “I think it was a combination of things. I take pride in how great my relationship is with Chris, but having said that, of course, in this crazy world where he’s off doing movies and I’m in L.A., raising our child, of course I’m going to feel vulnerable, like any normal human would.”

That said, neither have revealed their reasons for the split. But obviously, it’s personal.

Sending good vibes to the whole fam. We know the phrase “relationship goals” is thrown around liberally these days, but this one’s truly a bummer. ? Now we’re off to rewatch Mom before bed….
