Zara Is Selling a Replica of Meghan Markle's 2018 Trooping the Colour Off-the-Shoulder Blazer

Meghan Markle may have a Rolodex full of designer contacts—one of the many, many perks of being a duchess—but that doesn’t mean dressing like her has to come at the designer price point. Zara appears to be selling a near-exact replica of one of our favorite Meghan Markle outfits of all time: her off-the-shoulder Carolina Herrera blazer suit set from the 2018 Trooping the Colour celebration.

The affordable retailer is offering a red Boat Neck Blazer cut in the same style as Markle’s Carolina Herrera number. It features an “open neckline, oversized round buttons, and a folded-over collar—and it can be yours for $99.90.

Even in a totally different color (the Duchess’s was pale pink), there’s no denying the similarities between the jacket and the look that likely inspired it.

As a reminder, here’s Markle’s Carolina Herrera top from earlier this summer.

And, behold, Zara’s take on the Duchess-approved trend.

Markle has proven to be a fan of the boat neck silhouette in her royal capacities. In addition to her Trooping the Colour dress, her Givenchy wedding gown also dipped below her collarbone (and, it’s worth noting, was approved by the queen). The year of the bateau continues!

Is This Zara Suit the New Zara Off-the-Shoulder Dress?

Every season, there’s that one Zara piece that’s fairly inescapable—no matter where you go, you’ll run into someone wearing it. It might not immediately register as Zara, but as soon as you start tallying up the sightings, you just know. There was that one coat, with its cropped cut and frayed white lining; then, that one blue off-the-shoulder dress that was so popular, it had its own Tumblr.

Behold, Glamour‘s guess at what the next iteration of “That One Zara Item” will be: the pink suit that’s technically called Blazer Without Lapel ($69.90) and Pants With Belt ($49.90).

Zara Blazer Without Lapel, $69.90, Zara; Zara Pants With Belt, $49.90, Zara

Zara Pants With Belt, $49.90, Zara

It has all the elements that make “That One Zara Item” stand out from the plethora of options on the fast-fashion giant’s “New In” section: versatility (the two pieces can be worn together as a suit, or separately with other pieces in your closet), a stand-out detail that makes it feel special (that wide, monochromatic belt with an oversized buckle), and a sweet price point (altogether, it’ll set you back just under $120).

But what really has us convinced is just how many times this pink suit has cropped up on a ton of Zara fan accounts already. Scroll through the feeds hashtags, and you’ll see how Instagrammers have made the style their own, wearing it with white T-shirts…

… or styling it with black tops.

Though, the color of the suit doesn’t necessarily need to be toned down by the styling: Some opt to wear the two-piece with an equally rosy T-shirt or blouse.

Some wear the belted trousers on their own, either with knits…

… or with cool spring blouses

… and even with other, non-pink blazers.

The #OOTDs have it. And once you spot this bright, collarless, wide-belted suit out in the wild (or even on your social feed), there’s no unseeing it—and, odds are, you’ll be much more cognizant of just how often you come across it.
