Love Is Blind Made An Editing Mistake Involving Giannina's Wedding Dress—And Fans Noticed

Love Is Blind on Netflix fans are still reeling from that shocking moment in the dating show’s finale, but that hasn’t stopped them from pointing out a confusing continuity error involving Giannina Gibelli’s wedding dress. Warning: spoilers beyond this point.

Here’s what went down: Damian Powers met Gibelli at the alter to tell her the wedding was off, leaving her completely devastated in front of her friends and family. She ran away in tears, hoping to get away from the cameras, and took a spill in her ice-white wedding gown in the process. However, some surprised viewers were so invested in the “I don’t” moment that they noticed a small, but hard-to-explain, mistake in the editing.

Look closely: the back of Gibelli’s dress was clearly covered in mud after she fell.

However, when she came back into the chapel moments later to talk things out with Powers, her dress was magically spotless and perfectly pressed.

Cue the head-scratching. Did they shoot the confrontation beforehand? Maybe they just had the most powerful stain remover of all time?

Some fans took to social media to get clarification. “Can someone explain why Giannina’s dress was covered in mud after she fell but then it was sparkly clean again when she was talking to Damian?” one fan wondered on Twitter. Someone else chimed in: “I love #LoveIsBlind as much as the next person but the producing/editing of the Damian and Giannina scene was MESSY…veil on then off then on again? Runs off, slips and gets mud on her dress but no stain when confronting Damian?!”

In an exclusive interview with Glamour, Gibelli opened up about what her experience was like on Love Is Blind and said she’s drawn strength from the whole situation a year and a half later. “You’re always hopeful, especially when you’re in your wedding dress, and you’ve made up your mind. It was a lot to take in and a lot of sadness, but a lot of humility and awareness of like, ‘Okay, I’ve got to pick myself up. I need to feel all these feelings, but I need to pick myself up eventually,'” she said.

Netflix announced last week that it’s dropping a Love Is Blind reunion special on March 5, which will hopefully answer all the burning questions fans have left and reveal who is still together after making it to the altar. Maybe they’ll take a moment to solve the big dress stain mystery, too.

Meghan Markle Wore a $35 Maternity Dress—and It’s Still Available to Buy

Meghan Markle has shown off an impressive sense of style since becoming the Duchess of Sussex. Even better, that impressive sense of style includes brands her loyal followers can shop for themselves. Sure, Markle often wears custom outfits that suggest she has Givenchy on speed-dial, but she’s also been known to mix in affordable pieces by & Other Stories and Aritzia. Now she’s added another one of our favorite wallet-friendly brands to her royal wardrobe with a dress that’s less than $35.

On Wednesday, January 16, the Duchess of Sussex visited one of her four royal patronages, Mayhew, in London. She arrived in a monochromatic outfit that included an off-white coat, maternity dress, and pumps. It didn’t take long for onlookers to ID her cozy sweater dress as H&M. The cost? Only $34.99.

This is the first time Markle has worn a piece from H&M’s in-house maternity line, MAMA. Moms-to-be who want to cop the dress are in luck: It’s still available on H&M’s website (for now, at least).

Lest you forget that Markle is a duchess—and that she can spend thousands of dollars on her wardrobe—she rounded out her outfit with some pricier pieces. Specifically, an Emporio Armani coat and Paul Andrew heels.

This is the second time in a week that the Duchess of Sussex has worn under-$100 finds for her public appearances. Markle chose another fan-favorite brand, Aritzia, for a visit to Birkhead on Monday, January 14. It didn’t take long for shoppers to grab her exact outfit for themselves: Her purple Babaton dress has already sold out.

Of course, Meghan Markle’s visit wasn’t just about showing off her excellent maternity style. She stopped by Mayhew, an animal welfare charity, to meet with volunteers and service animals.

Later this evening Markle and Prince Harry are expected to attend the premiere of Cirque du Soleil’s Totem, which will be held in support of Sentebale. We aren’t expecting to see more H&M at the Royal Albert Hall event—it’s a black-tie affair—but if we know the Duchess, she’ll definitely bring more of the Markle sparkle to the formal event. Personally, I’m holding out for another halter dress.

Meghan Markle Wore the Prettiest, Spring-iest Green Dress—and It's Actually Not Sold Out Yet

After months of us wondering when it will finally start to feel like springtime, Meghan Markle went ahead and kicked things off with the prettiest green floral-print dress—and if you feel like a little splurge, it seems like the “Meghan Markle Effect” (a.k.a. when Meghan wears something and it subsequently sells out in .02 seconds) hasn’t taken hold quite yet.

On Saturday she stepped out in a perfectly floaty Self-Portrait dress to attend the Invictus Games Sydney celebration reception with her fiancé Prince Harry. The event, hosted by Australia’s Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, was held in anticipation of the Sydney games in October—one of the first international trips Meghan and Harry will take together as a married couple.

Lately Meghan has opted for a more neutral wardrobe, though she hasn’t shied away from taking royal style risks by ignoring traditional expectations that she wear nude stockings, refrain from having her hair in a messy bun, and avoid ripped jeans. This time, not only are her legs bare, but she’s veered away from neutrals with this bright green midi-dress featuring delicate little cut-outs and ruffles.

The future royal paired her $510 Self-Portrait Cold Shoulder Floral Dress with a $1,995 Alexander McQueen Grain de Poudre Wool Blazer.

Meghan wore the same blazer as part of her pantsuit look in February when she attended the Endeavour Fund Awards in London, where she gave her first-ever royal speech. It’s such a gorgeous (and, let’s be honest, pricey) staple piece that we’re sure we’ll see a few more royal re-wears of it. After all, the royal couple has been paying for Meghan’s wardrobe on their own since they can’t accept freebies from designers. Once they’re married, however, the royal clothing budget will kick in—and who doesn’t love that?
