Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber Are Reportedly 'Exclusive'


It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are back together. I mean, the signs have been there for weeks. First, there were reports of them hanging out with friends at Gomez’s Los Angeles house. Kickbacks soon turned into coffee dates, followed by awkward bike-ridding sessions and public cuddles. Things hit a fever pitch on November 1, when Gomez was spotted wearing Bieber’s sweaty hockey jersey after one of his games—and again this week, when photographers caught them kissing.

Now, they’re reportedly tossing around a very important word: “exclusive.” According to Entertainment Tonight, Bieber and Gomez are officially exclusive, which negates previous reports that they’re just having fun or casually dating.

“They’re really happy and enjoying this time together,” the source said. “They’ve both grown a lot over the years and are excited to have reconnected…They are together all the time.”

The original reports about Gomez and Bieber rekindling their flame shocked many fans. Gomez has several emotional songs in her back catalogue that seem to be about Bieber, most notably “The Heart Wants What It Wants” from 2014.

“When I was on stage and I was thinking of… I know him, though. I know his heart, and I know what he wouldn’t do to hurt me,” Gomez literally speaks at the top of the music video. “But I didn’t realize that feeling so confident, feeling so great about myself and then it just be completely shattered. By one thing. By something so stupid. But then you make me feel crazy, you make me feel like it’s my fault. I was in pain.”

It seems like they’ve moved past their issues, though. 2010 you is swooning, I’m sure.

After weeks of reports, rumors, and bike-riding dates, we finally have real confirmation that Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are back on. Are you ready for this? The two love birds were caught kissing in public last night. Yup. This is the moment all “Jelena” shippers have been waiting for. And for everyone else, well, it’s 2017. This is what happens in 2017: SelGo ends things with The Weeknd, arguably the hottest man in the Northern Hemisphere, and starts things back up with the guy who once walked around barefoot in Boston.

TMZ has the photo, which shows a short-haired Gomez grabbing Bieber’s face and planting a smooch on him. Bieber is still wearing his hockey gear, so it’s safe to say he was a sweaty mess in this pic—but Gomez doesn’t care. True love isn’t affected by athletic perspiration. Remember the time she wore his used jersey after a game? She clearly loves Athlete Bieber, which is something I, a sports hater, will never understand.

News that Gomez and Bieber were rekindling their flame came just hours after we learned about her breakup with The Weeknd. Their participation in the Hillsong Church is apparently what brought them back together. The two have been spotted hanging out, holding hands, and cuddling, but this is the first kiss on record for “Jelena 3.0.” It’s basically 2011 again, except Bieber ditched the skater-boy swoop hair and Gomez has a song called “Fetish.”

Gomez and Bieber haven’t commented on their relationship status yet, but you know what they say: A picture’s worth a thousand words. Especially if there’s PDA in it.

Selena Gomez Is Reportedly Giving Justin Bieber Another Chance Because He Was Her 'First Love'


However you feel about Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber reuniting out of the blue in the last few weeks, there’s no denying that they’re becoming closer and closer with every church service and hockey game they attend together. It’s been reported that Justin is actively looking to rekindle his romance with Selena, and while sources previously claimed that the “Wolves” singer is just looking to rebuild a platonic friendship with J.Biebs, a new report from People reveals that she might actually be willing to give him yet another chance on the boyfriend front.

As a source told the magazine, Selena “always saw the best” in Justin, even throughout his many legal troubles, tumultuous life in the spotlight, and their own on-again, off-again relationship. “Justin was Selena’s first love. He will always have a special place in her heart. She’s always held out hope that one day the circumstances and timing would be right,” the source added. “There have been times in the past where Selena was excited and thought things would work out again, but then was disappointed [by how things turned out].”

Another insider told People that Justin has also never been able to get over Selena and is currently on his best behavior in an effort to try to win her back. “They’re having a great time together. Neither are seeing anyone else, and they seem happy to leave it at this for now,” the source said. “Spending time together makes them both very happy. For Justin, no one ever came close to comparing to Selena. He always thought she was the most special, and now seems mature enough to realize Selena deserves the best.”

Selena, 25, and Justin, 23, who dated on and off between 2011 and 2014, were first spotted hanging out again last month. At the time, sources said Justin had reached out after hearing about Selena’s kidney transplant, and that the pair had reconnected while attending the same church. Not long after, however, Selena and The Weeknd broke up after 10 months of dating, and the rumor mill kicked into high gear, with countless “sources” and Jelena fans speculating that the two pop stars were actually more than friends. Of course, matching outfits and rented-out restaurants don’t necessarily equal a relationship, and neither celebs have confirmed any romance rumors—yet.

When you’re a celebrity, you don’t make reservations for a hot Friday-night date—you shut down an entire restaurant. So it was that Selena Gomez and ex-turned-apparent-current-flame Justin Bieber closed down Morton’s Steakhouse in Los Angeles for a post-church-service dinner on Friday night. (It’s worth noting that there’s no official confirmation from either party that they’re indeed dating, only signs and “sources” sharing intel with gossip mags to the point where we can pretty much call it.) The only thing more wonderful than a nicely-cooked filet or an out-of-left-field reconciliation of the most iconic early-’10s celeb couples, believe it or not, is what Gomez was wearing for the outing. Why? Because it was practically head-to-toe Madewell and cozy AF for autumn.

The performer was photographed wearing a sweater-and-jeans look that was very fall-appropriate and also very much shoppable—in other words, the best kind of celebrity outfit. Behold, the full outfit:

In the twist even your grandmother without Internet saw coming, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are officially dating again. According to a new report from Us Weekly, the former flames are now 100 percent boyfriend and girlfriend—like it’s 2011 and Bieber has the swooped hair that gave 10-year-olds everywhere heart palpitations. I’m simultaneously shook and not shook. Shook because, well, you all read my post from yesterday about the cuddle session from hell. But I’m not shook because the signs have been here for days.

Come on, what did you think was happening when reports surfaced last week that Bieber and Gomez hung out at her Los Angeles pad? They weren’t just baking cookies and listening to Stars Dance deep cuts!

Or when they grabbed breakfast on Sunday and went to church afterwards? (Hillsong Church is, allegedly, what brought them back together in the first place.) And as I said earlier, they were literally cuddling yesterday after riding bikes like 9-year-old kids hopped up on Pixy Stix. Hell, Gomez is even wearing Bieber’s hockey jerseys now. His sweaty hockey jerseys! Selena Gomez is voluntarily wearing dirty clothes belonging to the guy who has a Christmas album called Under the Mistletoe. If that’s not love, then lock me in a padded room and put “Baby” on repeat.

“Selena and Justin are back together,” a source tells Us Weekly. “Selena and The Weeknd just fizzled and ended amicably—it wasn’t dramatic, and it wasn’t about Justin. But Selena always had feelings for Justin. Her friends want her to be cautious because she has been in such a good place post-surgery.”

Damn straight she should be cautious. This is the guy who caused Taylor Swift to make this face:

For real, though, I’m a diehard Selena Gomez fan. If this rumor is true and she’s happy, then that’s amazing. Gomez deserves to find bliss—especially after the year she’s had. But fingers crossed Bieber has his act together and doesn’t cause the sequel to “The Heart Wants What It Wants.” My heart certainly doesn’t want that.

I woke up this morning thinking it’d be a great day. I skipped the gym, ate a bomb-ass sandwich for lunch, and have been listening to the Spice Girls nonstop. It’s November 1—the holiday season is upon us. The Starbucks cups are here! There are many things that made me think today would be, to put it simply, the Best Day Ever.

But now I’m seeing red. This perfect day has gone to hell because Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber were photographed cuddling in public. Yes, you read that sentence correctly: Gomez decided the best thing to do after breaking up with America’s Hottest Thirst Trap, The Weeknd, was to ring up her old flame and ride bikes with him. (They hung out last week, too. Apparently, their participation in the same church, Hillsong, is bringing them back together.)

Is this a belated Halloween prank? The dawn of the apocalypse? 2017 caving into itself?

One thing’s for sure: It’s real. We have the photos to prove it. Here’s Bieber and Gomez riding down the street on bicycles like two ’50s kids en route to a sock hop.

It’s all just too much. Why, SelGo? Why? There are a million better things you could be doing than latching onto the dude whose best song is called “Beauty and a Beat.” Here’s a non-exhaustive list: Rent an island in the Caribbean with Taylor Swift for the weekend, binge-watch Stranger Things 2 and get inspiration for future “Bad Liar” performances, get frozen yogurt with Demi Lovato and break the Internet.

Look, here’s the thing: Gomez, of course, has every right to hang out with Bieber. If it makes her happy, then that’s amazing. At the end of the day, that’s all her fans—myself included—want for her. It’s just perplexing, though. What is the logic? Why is this happening?

The heart wants what it wants, I guess.
