Leslie Jones Reacting to the Christian Siriano Show Is the Best Thing You'll See All NYFW

Christian Siriano, with his elegant evening wear and inclusive approach to casting, is a designer worth cheering for. And his gowns, whether they’re on the red carpet or on the runway, definitely possess all the characteristics of a swoon-worthy garment: luxe fabrics, bold colors, over-the-top silhouettes. And although most guests at a show of his might keep their excitement (barely) contained, Leslie Jones wasn’t about that at Siriano’s Spring 2018 show during New York Fashion Week. In fact, she provided excited live commentary to the entire catwalk—and it’s already the best Fashion Month dispatch you’ll see this season.

Jones first connected with Siriano last summer, when the designer famously made her a custom gown for the Ghostbusters premiere after she tweeted that she couldn’t find a brand that would dress her for the red carpet. She’s continued to wear his work since, and is clearly a fan—just watch how she reacted to the models walking down the runway.

If you follow her Game of Thrones recaps, you already knew the comedian had some solid commentating skills. But at Siriano’s show it became clear that Jones needs to be doing this at basically any and every Fashion Week event.

The fashion crowd was really feeling Jones’ energy.

The excitement really is contagious, and it’s not something we often see from the front-row crowd. But we have to say: Jones’ unfiltered reactions to what was really a spectacular sight—a diverse group of models, dressed in their Spring 2018 best, working it for the photographers at the end of the runway—reminds us of what makes these fashion shows feel special.

But also, designers: Can you please reserve a front-row seat for Jones at any and all NYFW events? Thanks in advance.

'Cream Soda' Is the Transitional Blond Shade You'll See Everywhere This Fall

This summer was undoubtedly the season of platinum hair: Every time we opened Instagram, it seemed like a new celebrity had gone icy blond. Alas, fall is just around the corner—and even though platinum hair isn’t going anywhere, a few celebrities have debuted a less dramatic, more neutral shade of blond that transitions really well into the colder months. Behold, “cream soda blond.”

Elisabeth Moss‘s hairstylist Sunnie Brook used the term for the shade in an interview with Refinery29, and we can see why it’s called that: The color is a cooler take on a golden blond that falls between platinum’s frosty edge and the buttery blond that also popped up quite a bit this summer (remember Emma Stone’s new look from June?).

We’re starting to see takes on the shade crop up across the celeb and modeling world. See below for a few recent—and gorgeous—examples:

If you did go super-light this summer and feel like switching it up, it’s the perfect way to add some warmth and richness to your hair just in time for fall. The color’s also great for blending in darker roots with a lighter dye job—which means that A) time between appointments can be eked out a bit longer, and B) if you’re a blond wanting to go dark but not totally commit to it, this is an awesome way to test the waters. And, brunettes, it’s friendly for you, too: It’s a great way to lighten up without going full-on blond.
