This ‘Game of Thrones’ Theory Suggests Bran Actually Warged Into Drogon at King’s Landing

This post contains spoilers for the final season of Game of Thrones. Consider yourself warned.

There are many questions that are still unanswered as we head into the Game of Thrones series finale on Sunday night. Who will sit on the Iron Throne? Actually, will there even still be an Iron Throne? Is Arya going to kill Dany, as many people theorize? Will she do it with the poison people think Varys sent her? Is Jon Snow going to brood for all eternity?

And of course, what has Bran Stark been doing all this time and how does it fit into the big picture in Westeros? We know that Bran is the Three-Eyed Raven and can warg into animals, and his suspect behavior during the Battle of Winterfell already had fans thinking he might be evil.

HBO

Now a Reddit user named Ratcliffb believes that the Three-Eyed Raven (Bran) is fundamentally evil. According to this user’s theory, Dany was only planning to destroy the Red Keep, where Cersei was, so Bran warged into Drogon and set fire to King’s Landing himself.

“His most recent play has been doing everything to manipulate Dany into going Mad and burning down Kings Landing. Which will cause all the other lords to revolt against her. Problem is he underestimated Dany and instead of burning down Kings Landing she was headed for the Red Keep so the 3ER warged into Drogon and did it himself,” Ratcliffb writes.

“Dany’s eyes are LOCKED onto the Red Keep when she takes off and she’s beelining it for it for quite awhile,” the fan continues. “It’s only after we see the identical scene of Brans vision from an earlier season of Drogon’s shadow flying over King’s Landing that Drogon changes directions and starts lighting everyone up. They don’t show a close up of Dany again after that.”

True or not, it’s certainly an interesting theory. Hopefully the show will explain to us what the Three-Eyed Raven’s motivations truly are before the final scenes air this weekend—because Bran really does have some explaining to do.

Actual Audio of 'Nerves of Steel' Southwest Pilot Tammie Jo Shults Landing Flight 1380

The Internet is raving this week about Tammie Jo Shults, the incredible Southwest Airlines pilot who kept her cool during the emergency landing of Southwest Flight 1380 with 147 passengers on board on Tuesday at Philadelphia International Airport.

Shults, 56, who was one of the first female fighter pilots in the Navy, is no stranger to extreme working conditions: She has experience responding to Soviet missile threats, CNN reports.

But her flight on Tuesday was something straight out of a nightmare. According to multiple reports, the plane’s left engine “exploded” shortly into the flight, and shrapnel from the failed engine broke a window. A passenger was partially sucked out of it, and later died. According to The New York Times, oxygen masks dropped down and the plane started descending rapidly.

In the cockpit, however, Shults kept impressively calm while speaking with an air traffic controller, according to audio captured by LiveATC, which you can listen to below. The recording starts off with the routine elements of a flight—fuel levels, number of passengers on board—but by 0:52, Shults starts to relay the details of the emergency.

“Engine severe damage; engine failure,” she says calmly.

At 4:34, she asks for medical staff to meet the plane on the runway because there are injured passengers on board.

“Injured passengers, OK,” the air traffic controller responds. “And is your airplane physically on fire?”

“No, it’s not on fire,” Shults replies coolly. “But part of it’s missing. They said there’s a hole and someone went out.”

By 6:04, it’s clear she’s made it, relaying: “We’re going to stop right here by the fire trucks. Thanks, guys, for the help.”

After safely landing the aircraft, Shults reportedly went up to passengers to make sure they were OK.

“She has nerves of steel,” passenger Alfred Tumlinson told The Washington Post. “She was so cool when she brought that down into the Philadelphia airport. Everybody just was applauding.”

“As captain and first officer of the crew of five who worked to serve our customers aboard Flight 1380 yesterday, we all feel we were simply doing our jobs,” Shults said in a statement provided by Southwest Airlines. “Our hearts are heavy. On behalf of the entire crew, we appreciate the outpouring of support from the public and our coworkers as we all reflect on one family’s profound loss.”

Listen to the full audio, and marvel at Shults’ incredible composure during what was undoubtedly one of the most terrifying experiences of her life—along with the lives of the passengers on her plane.

Fenty Beauty's First Red Lipstick Is Landing on Thanksgiving

Let’s get right to it, because this is breaking news of the highest degree. Rihanna just dropped word that a brand-new product is coming to us from Fenty Beauty, and while not much intel has dropped yet, we just got our first look. Right in line with the Fenty ethos, it’s another product that’s meant to look equally good on every skin tone. But where the Gloss Bomb manages to flatter everyone with its shimmery, sheer balm formula, Rihanna’s newest release goes bolder: we’re looking at a dramatic, blue-red lip shade called Stunna Lip Paint. Its tagline? “One Red For All.”

Also boldly, Rihanna saw your Thanksgiving celebration and raised it one Fenty drop date. Sorry friends, sorry family, but they’ll probably understand when you dash to your computer to grab the Lip Paint when it hits on Nov. 23 (we don’t play games with Fenty, especially given its repeat sold-out status). The saving grace is that at the very least, there’ll be a few places to hit up for stock if any stores run dry. According to the brand, the Stunna Lip Paint will be available online at fentybeauty.com, sephora.com and harveynichols.com, and in-store at Sephora and Harvey Nichols.

Fenty hasn’t let on how much the Stunna Lip Paint will cost you (we’ve reached out the brand, and will update when we hear back), but given that the Gloss Bomb goes for $18, and the two holiday lip products are priced at $19 each, it would make sense for the Stunna to fall around that range. However: this thing does look like an objet d’art. At least in terms of packaging, there’s some resemblance to Christian Louboutin’s Nail Color, which goes for $50—so fingers crossed that Rih is serving us luxury b*tch products at accessible prices, like she’s mentioned is her intent with Fenty.

That said, the comments on her Instagram post don’t seem too concerned. Our favorite so far: “SHE CAN JUST TAKE MY DEBIT CARD HONESTLY.” It’s real. As for what the Stunna looks like on, the name Lip Paint had us expecting a matte liquid lipstick. But, as per usual, it seems like Rihanna is bucking tradition. In her follow-up photo, it looks like the shade has a semi-glossy, vinyl-esque finish.

Color-wise, it feels similar to MAC’s Riri Woo shade—which makes sense, given that Rihanna’s forever been a fan of a universal blue-red. If you still rue the day you missed out on Riri Woo, this might just be its new-and-improved iteration.
