Ariana Grande Celebrated Her Billboard Woman of the Year Award by Getting Tattoos With Her 93-Year-Old Grandma

What kind of things do you like to do with your grandma—bake cookies, share stories, maybe hit some holiday sales? Well, when you’re Ariana Grande hanging out with her gran, things apparently get kicked up a notch.

After accepting the honor of Billboard Woman of the Year, Grande and her half-brother, Frankie, took their grandmother Marjorie Grande—better known as “Nonna” to her family and “legend” to the rest of us—out to get tattoos. Of course, Ariana’s no stranger to ink. She’s got more than we can count—including some new ones covering up the remnants of her broken engagement to Pete Davidson.

But Nonna? This was her first time, and Ariana documented the trip on her Instagram Stories. The Grande matriarch was so chill about the whole thing: She opted for a very sweet tribute to her late husband Frank and had his nickname “Ciccio” tattooed onto her left ring finger (ouch). When the singer asked Nonna how she was feeling about the process, she calmly replied, “I feel fine. I’ve had a little bit more excitement than this.” At one point she even joked, “You don’t know what pain is!”

Fans on social media went nuts for for the bonding moment.

“Ariana holding nonna’s hand while she’s getting her first tattoo is the sweetest thing ever please,” one wrote. “Also I CANT BELIEVE NONNA GOT A TATTOO OMG but it’s so cute and i love it,” said another.

Ariana also got some new ink that night on the top of her hand. New York tattoo artist Mira Mariah shared a photograph of the celestial art on her own Instagram writing, “☀️? for the woman of the year.”

As far as whether Nonna’s caught the tattoo bug…we’ll definitely keep you posted if she and Ariana head out for matching ink sometime soon.

Kim Kardashian Shut Down Some Rumors About Herself With the Help of Her Grandma MJ

It’s hard to keep up with the Kardashians, especially when not one but three of the sisters—Kylie Jenner, Khloé Kardashian, and Kim Kardashian—are all reportedly expecting babies in 2018. Even momager Kris Jenner’s mom Mary Jo, a.k.a. MJ, doesn’t know what to believe. Luckily, in a new video on her app, Kim and MJ sat down to read headlines about KKW together and sort fact from fiction.

Mary Jo says in the video that she doesn’t read the tabloids, but she does love People magazine. Of course, her No. 1 source for celebrity news is her granddaughter; she texts Kim when she sees a rumor that could be true. MJ (like us) also revealed that she has to ask Kim if she’s pregnant “every other month.” Kardashian recently confirmed that she is expecting her third child with husband Kanye West via surrogate.

Any mention of Kylie and Khloé’s growing families was suspiciously absent from Kim’s convo with MJ (alas, no scoop from grandma). Neither Kylie nor Khloé have yet to publicly confirm any reports of their pregnancies, so the group text with grandma has probably been quite active lately.

Of course, we did get KKW’s final say on some other rumors during her chat with MJ. Kardashian shut down gossip that North hates Saint. “Obviously, North loves Saint. She just is still jealous…she needs to still get it together and warm up and be a little bit nicer,” Kim explained. “She’s not hurting him or anything, she just doesn’t want boys in her room.” Kardashian also clarified that she does not want to replace Kelly Ripa on LIVE with Kelly & Ryan and confirmed that she’s not having twins to have twins. Now we all know to expect a maximum of three new Kardashians in 2018.

Kardashian also mentioned in the video that she’s been begging MJ to start a YouTube channel, which actually doesn’t sound like the worst idea. Who better to break news about the Kardashian-Jenner brood than the family’s matriarch herself?
