Drake Says He's Been Collecting Birkin Bags For His Future Wife

They say that money can’t buy you love—but it can buy a collection of the world’s most expensive bags to gift your soulmate. Such is Drake‘s MO, according to his recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter: While dodging questions about former love interests Rihanna and Jennifer Lopez, the rapper casually revealed that he has been collecting Birkin bags for “years”—all in the name of “the woman I end up with.”

Hear that? It’s the sound of Drake’s exes deciding they want to give him a second chance.

He didn’t offer much more information—how many bags he’s acquired, where he keeps them, how long this has been going on for—other than this collection exists, but let’s take a moment to process this revelation: Hermès Birkin bags are notoriously pricey—one style, in the simplest iteration, can fetch around $12,000 according to Fortune; custom versions have an even heftier price tag—and, depending on the version, hard to come by. It’s no small feat to assemble a full range. To do so for someone who’s not even in the picture yet, presumably? That’s something out of a weirdly specific rom-com.

To be fair, Drake does have a reputation for going all-out in the name of love, so this Birkin bag vault isn’t totally out of character. Surprising, sure. Now, though, we’re more than a little jealous of whoever captures his Birkin collection—erm, his heart in the future. Our sincerest congratulations to whomever Drake “ends up with,” whenever that happens.

Miley Cyrus Reveals She Has No Plans to Marry Liam Hemsworth in the Immediate Future

It’s settled (for now, at least): Miley Cyrus has no plans to marry Liam Hemsworth in the immediate future. After fielding so many marriage rumors we can’t keep track of them all, the singer set the record straight by telling The Sun that she doesn’t “envision marriage.” “I’m 24,” she told the publication, according to Page Six. “I hope I get to live a little bit more. I have too much living to do.” She’s still wearing the engagement ring he gave her in 2012 though, and we don’t blame her. It’s a gorgeous Neil Lane creation with a cushion-cut diamond and 18K gold band that she appears to be casually sporting in her photoshoot for her single “Malibu.” (Sneaky!)

“Three years ago, if you’d asked me if I’d be here, this happy with this man, I’d have been stunned,” Cyrus added. “I’m just riding this out. In some relationships, you lose yourself by being with someone else. Actually, it made me find myself more. I have no idea what the next three years will bring, but if it’s possible to get even happier, I’ll take it.”

Cyrus continued that she didn’t know she would get back with Hemsworth in 2016 after breaking it off with him in 2013. “I’m so crazy I have no idea, but I had something in my heart, it never felt like it was really over,” she said. “We kept a great friendship really private.” In fact, if they hadn’t gone their separate ways, their relationship wouldn’t be as strong today, she said. “It’s good for people to have that space to grow individually. Otherwise, when you’re with someone from 16 until 24, you grow into the same person,” she said. “We got to become individuals. I hope everything stays the same. It feels like nothing changed except we grew up a lot.”

The whole Milliam (Miam? Liley?) saga has kept fans on their toes since the pair announced the rekindling of their engagement last January, with more twists, turns, leaks, and spoilers than your average Game of Thrones season.

In case you’ve forgotten (and we wouldn’t blame you), the last marriage rumor dropped in March, when Cyrus’s father Billy Ray Cyrus posted a pic on Instagram of the singer in a white dress, captioned “I’m so happy … you are happy.” He quickly put that rumor to bed after sending fans in a tizzy, changing the caption to “Don’t jump the gun!” And just two months before that, an unnamed source claimed that Cyrus and Hemsworth had gotten hitched in a super-secret New Year’s Eve wedding, with suspiciously nuptial Instagram pics to fuel the fire. And before that…well, you get the idea. Here’s hoping this latest advancement puts a stop to the false flags once and for all.
