Meghan Markle Just Deleted All Her Social Media Accounts


Meghan Markle’s life has changed pretty drastically since getting engaged to Prince Harry. She gave up her Audi car lease in Toronto (allegedly), left Suits, and moved to England. Instead of running lines, Markle now spends her days making appearances at benefits and youth organizations, where she wears fabulous hats and poses for photos with her literal-prince fiancé. It’s a luxe life, to say the least—different, sure, but luxe nonetheless.

Markle’s made it clear these changes happened on own her terms, though. In a sit-down interview last November, Markle said she was actually quite ready to leave Suits—in her words, she had “ticked” that box.

So we’re sure the change she just made to her social media accounts is autonomous, as well. The soon-to-be duchess has officially deleted her Instagram and Twitter profiles. Like, if you search for her profiles, they just straight-up won’t be there. Want proof? Check out these screen-shots.

What’s happening? Why did Markle suddenly feel the urge to wipe her social media presence off the Internet? Well, Prince Harry and Prince William don’t have social media profiles—neither does Kate Middleton—so it’s plausible this is just royal protocol. After all, we learn about the royals’ lives nowadays exclusively through the Kensington Palace social media channels. Perhaps Markle thought it was best to delete her profiles and streamline that information.

It’s also likely (and probable) that Kensington Palace asked Markle to do this. Royal protocol, ya know? Regardless, we’re sure Markle was down for the change. She’s about to be royalty, people; having a curated social media presence is kind of a requirement.

Kim Kardashian Deleted and Replaced Her Family on Instagram for the #Aesthetic


As 2017 slowly wound to a close this month, we were treated each day to a piece of the glorious jigsaw puzzle that was the Kardashian family 2017 Christmas card, a series of pictures of the family released, like an advent calendar, one day at a time on Instagram. And while those Gap ad-esque images live on through photographer Eli Russell Linnetz’s account, they’ve been wiped from Kim Kardashian West’s. Why? #Aesthetic, duh. Ever since returning to social media following her temporary withdrawal from public life in the aftermath of being robbed in Paris, Kardashian West has stuck to a social media diet of filtered, curated images and posts. In a word, her Instagram is artsy now, and she wasn’t about to let something as trivial as a family photo mess that up.

“Was always the plan,” she explained to a worried fan on Twitter, lest anyone think a family feud caused the deletion “I archieved [sic] them so my instagram feed vibe is back”.

Yes, Instagram archives are a thing, and yes, the vibe is very much back! And because Kim celebrates not just Christmas but all holidays (let’s not get political; there are lots of holidays and it’s cool, it’s fine, please calm down), she replaced the countdown posts with a glamorous shot of herself with her husband Kanye West and their two children, Saint and North.

“Happy Holidays.”

Now that her Instagram vibe is all sorted out, Kim can focus on her 2018 resolution: putting her phone down! “My New Year’s resolution is to be on my phone less and be more in the moment,” she wrote on her website and app, per E! News. Same, Kim. Hard same.

Then again, if Kim isn’t on her phone, who will take us on a virtual tour of J. Lo’s taco night?

This 'Devil Wears Prada' Deleted Scene Tells a Completely Different Story

Over a decade after its release, pretty much everyone knows the basic plot line of The Devil Wears Prada. Andy, played by Anne Hathaway, gets a job as an assistant under icy magazine editor Miranda Priestly, played by Meryl Streep. The entire movie hinges on their tense relationship, and Andy spends the better part of two hours trying to get into Miranda’s good graces, which finally happens right before the closing credits. But based on a recently rediscovered deleted scene, found by BuzzFeed‘s community manager Spencer Althouse, it could have been a totally different movie.

“I’m just seeing this deleted scene from The Devil Wears Prada for the first time, and honestly it changed the whole movie for me,” Althouse tweeted alongside the deleted clip from Miranda’s charity benefit scene, Refinery29 reports.

If you’re one of those people who has seen The Devil Wears Prada so many times that you can quote it line by line (guilty), you probably remember the gist of what goes down in the original version of the scene. Andy is stuck at a black tie event for the magazine helping a sick Emily feed their boss the names and details of the guests as they approach. Emily forgets an important piece of information, and Andy helps save the day. Miranda acknowledges it with a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it smile, and then the scene is over. The whole thing is pretty uneventful.

In the new clip, though, Andy is shown diffusing a potentially even more awkward situation when Miranda’s husband comes over and starts making rude and aggressive comments to the CEO of the magazine’s parent company a.k.a. Miranda’s boss. Miranda steers him away, but not before mouthing “thank you” to Andy for helping smooth things over. Not exactly what you would imagine from a person who casually said things to this same assistant like, “you have no style” and “the details of your incompetence do not interest me,” right? Take a look:

Twitter has mixed feelings about this revelation, ranging from “WHAT?!? Whaaaaat?!” to “Why wasn’t this in the movie?!?” to “No wonder they deleted it. Undermined Miranda’s whole ice queen narrative.”

Regardless of whether you think this moment adds dimension to Miranda’s character or that it’s totally out of place and makes absolutely no sense, there’s one thing we can all agree on: This one, brief exchange would have completely changed the movie. That’s all.
