Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez's Fourth of July Celebration Was an Adorable Family Affair
Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez continued to cement their status as an Instagram power couple over the Fourth of July holiday, and this time, the whole family got involved. The result? Some pretty adorable pics of Lopez-Rodriguez bunch celebrating the holiday.
A-Rod is not only a pro at being an Instagram husband, he’s also a doting Instagram dad. The former Yankees star shared an adorable photo of himself, Lopez, and their four children: Max and Emme, J. Lo’s twins from her marriage to Marc Anthony; and Ella and Natasha, his daughters from a previous marriage. “Today, we all celebrate the amazing freedoms we have as Americans. From our family to yours, have a happy and safe #July4th holiday everyone! ??,” he wrote in the caption.
“He [Rodriguez] loves taking pictures and documenting the moment,” Lopez told People recently. And back in 2017, she offered a more comprehensive rundown of A-Rod’s best qualities, telling Extra, “He’s a loving father. He’s a generous human being with his family, with his friends, with me. He’s caring and sweet and capable and responsible and just all the beautiful things you would want a man to be.”
But he’s not above taking advice from his kids when it comes to the ‘gram. “My coaches are my girls—they’re my biggest critics,” he told People. “I know immediately if I posted something dorky, because both of the girls start blowing me up. They’re like, ‘Dad take that down, we’re teenagers. We’re going to be ragged on at school.’ We have fun with it, but they know best because that’s more their strength.”
The couple doesn’t shy away from letting the public in on their private lives, sharing videos of themselves working out together and partaking in cute family moments. When they got engaged in March, they made the big announcement—and showed off Lopez’s gorgeous ring—on Instagram first.
The two are set to be married, although pretty much all the details are TBD on that front, including the date. “We haven’t started planning yet. You know, we just got engaged!” she said. “Then right afterwards we started working right away, and we’re working the rest of the year, so I don’t know what’s going to happen. We haven’t decided if we’re going to squeeze it in somewhere or we’re going to wait.” All we can say is, we can’t wait to see the wedding pics.
