Ariana Grande's 'Thank U, Next' Video Is Here, and It's, Well, So Fetch
Ariana Grande dropped her “Thank U, Next” music video on Friday (November 30), and it’s everything fans hoped for and more.
As teased for a few weeks now, the clip is a tribute to four classic comedies from the early aughts: Bring It On, Legally Blonde, 13 Going on 30, and Mean Girls. There are deep-cut references to all these films made throughout the video, including a Mean Girls–esque Burn Book, Elle Woods’ many pink outfits, a cheerleading costume reminiscent of Kirsten Dunst’s in Bring It On, and Jenna Rink’s dollhouse in 13 Going on 30.
Some familiar faces are in the video too, including Jonathan Bennett (Aaron Samuels in Mean Girls) and Jennifer Coolidge, who played the fan-favorite character Paulette in Legally Blonde and its sequel.
One cameo fans might not see coming, though, is Kris Jenner. The reality-TV queen plays the Amy Poehler character in the video’s Mean Girls portion. It’s a role she was born to play, TBH. Need we remind you of that GIF of Jenner telling her daughter Kim Kardashian, “You’re doing amazing, sweetie”?
This is essentially the 2007 version of Mrs. George watching Regina and her friends dance in Mean Girls. Iconic!

Grande first teased what this video could be about on November 20, when she uploaded this photo that reminded everyone of Legally Blonde.
When she posted this snap of herself with Coolidge, fans knew she was up to something. (Grande has been a fan of hers for years and can do a spot-on impression.)
The behind-the-scenes content kept rolling in after that:
Congrats, Ariana, on making a video that’s, well, so fetch.
