Cindy Crawford Jeans Are Now, Finally, a Reality


From the cutoffs she wore in her classic Pepsi commercial to her pioneering of the model-off-duty uniform of jeans and a black T-shirt, Cindy Crawford has been a denim icon to many for as long as she’s been crushing it on the catwalk. It might’ve taken a while, but the original supermodel is finally fulfilling a lifelong dream (of ours): designing her own denim line.

Crawford is partnering with Re/Done, the industry-favorite brand that takes vintage American wardrobe staples—like Levi’s jeans and Hanes white T-shirts—and revamps them into luxe, new silhouettes, on a capsule wardrobe, set to launch in September. There are three silhouettes in The Crawford collection: jeans, tees, and graphic sweatshirts. (The latter two are screen-printed with a photo of the model from the ’80s, shot by Marco Glaviano.) The jeans are expected to retail between $240 and $260; a short-sleeved T-shirt will be $125, while a long-sleeved style will be $160; and sweatshirts are priced between $235 and $260.

The supermodel announced the collaboration on Instagram on Thursday. Twenty pieces were made available to celebrate the news, but these sold out within a few hours. Until the official September launch, The Crawford collection has a waitlist online.

Though Crawford has a long history with Levi’s, her relationship with Re/Done is much more recent. “My daughter [Kaia Gerber] is obsessed with Re/Done, and I didn’t really have any of their jeans because I felt like I was there the first time around,” she told Vogue.
“When I started following Re/Done on Instagram, I posted a picture of me in old Levi’s from back in the ‘90s with a caption like, ‘I was doing Re/Done before Re/Done.'” Fair point.
