Pantone Color Trends for Fall 2019
Just by looking at the runways, you can gauge what the season’s biggest colors will be. (Think marigold, regal purple for fall.) Every Fashion Week, the Pantone Color Institute releases a comprehensive report highlighting the top trends from the new collections, making its own predictions as to what shades everyone will be wearing in six months’ time. The Fall 2019 edition just dropped—and you might already be familiar with some of the hues.
According to Pantone, the top colors for Fall 2019 are all about expressing individuality. And according to WWD, they’ve all already made appearances on the 2019 awards show circuit: Sandra Oh wore “Chili Pepper” (a bright, powerful red) to the Golden Globes, while Lady Gaga wore “Crème de Pêche” (a soft alternative to “Millennial Pink”) to the Critics’ Choice Awards. So while they all featured greatly on the Fall 2019 runways during Fashion Week, these colors have already been in our public consciousness for a bit now (even if we didn’t realize it).
Because we’re impatient—and so many of these colors are in stores right now—we’ve highlighted four of Pantone’s Fall 2019 predictions and all the ways you can shop them right now. Because why wait for autumn when you can get ahead of the trend?
