26 Movies Everyone Will Be Talking About Fall 2019
There are only two plus sides to summer ending, as far as I can tell: (1) It means we’ll stop sweating every time we leave the house, and (2) Fall movies are just around the corner. While the warmer months gave us some pretty fantastic films (I’m still not over Booksmart), entertainment just gets better as the temperature cools down. And this year is no exception.
We start the season off with a bang, thanks to movies like Jennifer Lopez’s Hustlers and the much buzzed-about Downtown Abbey screen adaptation. And as we move closer and closer to the holidays, the awards season fare starts coming out. We’ll save the December releases for our winter movie preview, but go ahead and add Cynthia Erivo to your Best Actress short list for her performance in Harriet (out November 1). Similarly, Tom Hanks is already garnering Oscar buzz for his portrayal of Mister Rogers in A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood.
There are more great performances (and movies) where these came from. Below, check out all the films everyone will be seeing—and talking about—this fall.
