Prince Harry Took This Gorgeous Photo of Meghan Markle During the Royal Tour
Hopefully by now, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have thrown on their comfy pants and are eating takeout on the couch while catching up on all the shows they missed during their 16-day royal tour of Australia, Fiji, Tonga, and New Zealand. They’ve certainly earned a break—though they are expected to appear with the rest of the royal family on Remembrance Day on November 11.
The tour, of course, was well-documented by media and photojournalists traveling with the newlyweds. But royals aren’t so different from the rest us sometimes—they, too, like to snap their own photos of special moments. Case in point: This morning, November 1, Kensington Palace posted a very sweet photo of Markle standing among the giant Redwoods in Rotorua. And the photo credit? The Duke of Sussex.
“A message from The Duke and Duchess of Sussex: Thank you New Zealand for the most wonderful last week of our tour. It has been a privilege to meet so many friendly Kiwis,” the post’s caption says. “Australia, Fiji, Tonga and NZ – we leave feeling inspired and reminded of how every single one of us can make a difference. ‘The rain that refreshes the parched ground, is made up of single drops’ – Kate Sheppard #commonwealth ???????? ? The Duke of Sussex”
It’s a casual, candid moment that further proves the Sussexes are the most relatable of royals. They commute on the train! They keep each other dry in the rain! They laugh so hard they cry!
This isn’t the first time the royals have shown off their photography skills, though. Earlier in the tour, Meghan Markle posted her own image to the Kensington Palace account:
And Harry and Meghan’s sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, is often cited as the photographer of many of the adorable shots of her children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—including the one below:
We certainly hope the Duke and Duchess plan on framing Prince Harry’s latest work. It’d make a great gift for Baby Sussex someday, no?
