Meghan Markle's Hair Looks Like She Wore a Bump-It

As charming and as smart as Meghan Markle is to watch, I try not to hyperventilate over her every move. Yes, she makes winning outfit choices and her blazers sell out at the drop of a hat and she apparently makes homemade banana bread for the people of Australia, but she’s also a regular person who—in many ways—is generally pretty predictable. Which is why her newest hairstyle (a… surprising pivot from her signature messy bun) caught my attention.

While visiting a girls high school in Sydney during the the Australian Royal Tour, Meghan debuted a half-up style that was so round and so full at the crown, I’m pretty sure Snooki, wherever she may be, felt a chill. I’m not mad about it though, and Meghan’s clearly pulling it off. Behold the style from every angle:

Like…it’s so large. Just a statement of fact.

But how cute is she? So animated for Australia.

And the light bouncing down on her doesn’t hurt.

Doing the work for both of them, in this one:

About to touch her hair. Classic.

Alone, together, with a girl who is making the most of this third-wheel situation:

I’ll leave you with this sequence, which grabs your heart and squeezes.

In addition to the voluminous bump, everyone’s favorite tendrils were left loose to frame her face, which is a pretty look I, for one, am glad she’s rescuing from prom hell. (The key to making them look cool, FYI, is to bend them away from your face, according to celebrity stylist Mark Townsend (who’s also been resuscitating tendrils on Dakota Johnson)).

And in case you’re so inclined, this spray is the gold standard for volume. Other than the Bump-It, of course.
