The trouble didn’t stop there. Between the final taping of the season to the After the Final Rose ceremony to even a few days later, the drama never seemed to end. Peter Weber broke off his engagement with Hannah Ann Sluss, reunited with Madison Prewett, broke up with Prewett again, and has been the subject of gossip ever since. Still, despite all the heat Weber has received, he has no regrets about how everything went down.
When Weber—also known as Pilot Pete—did an Instagram Q&A with fans on March 21, one person asked him flat-out, “if you could redo your season would you?” Even though Weber has had to deal with rumors, including hearsay that choosing Prewett over Sluss damaged his relationship with his mother, the former Bachelor used the fan’s question as an opportunity to insist he has no regrets.
“No,” he replied. “One of the biggest takeaways I took was we have 0% control of the past but 100% control of the future. And that’s a beautiful thing.”
The statement tracks with what he told Glamour back in January. West coast editor Jessica Radloff spoke with Weber just before the finale aired to ask if he was happy with how things had turned out. “I can say I’m happy. I couldn’t have expected it to work the way it did, but I’m happy with where I’m at right now,” he said at the time.
These days, Weber is back at home, spending quality time with family during a global period of social distancing. He joked during the IG Q&A that he has plans to move out of the house soon, though. His dad, Peter Sr., jumped in to say, “Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.”
