Kate Middleton Reportedly Hates Seeing Meghan Markle and Prince Harry ‘So Miserable’
If royal reports are to be believed (and it’s always a good idea to take them with a grain of salt), Kate Middleton is emerging as something of a family peacemaker when it comes to the situation between Prince William, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle.
This all comes on the heels of the revealing documentary, Harry and Meghan: An African Journey, where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex opened up about their struggles in the public eye. “Any woman, especially when they’re pregnant, you’re really vulnerable, and so that was made really challenging,” Markle said. “And then when you have a newborn, you know. And especially as a woman…it’s a lot. So you add this on top of just trying to be a new mom or trying to be a newlywed. It’s um…yeah. I guess, also, thank you for asking, because not many people have asked if I’m okay, but it’s a very real thing to be going through behind the scenes.”
Meanwhile, Prince Harry (sort of) addressed the rumors of a rift with his older brother. “Part of this role and part of this job, this family, being under the pressure that it’s under, inevitably stuff happens,” he said. “But look, we’re brothers, we’ll always be brothers. We’re certainly on different paths at the moment, but I’ll always be there for him and as I know he’ll always be there for me.”
Us Weekly reports that the Duchess of Cambridge hates seeing the Sussexes “so miserable.” Yesterday, it was reported that Middleton had reached out to Markle privately in an effort to help.
“While Kate’s concerned about Harry and Meghan’s well-being, she tries to stay out of the drama,” their source said. Apparently she also “hopes William and Harry will eventually heal the rift and let bygones be bygones.”
“The way she sees it, life’s too short to make enemies, especially with loved ones,” the Us Weekly source added. “She’s very levelheaded like that. Kate’s a family girl.”
