Reese Witherspoon Is Launching Her Own Channel and Unscripted Series
Reese Witherspoon is already an actress, producer, and entrepreneur. Now it looks like she’s adding reality star to that list. Well, kind of: Witherspoon announced today that AT&T and her production company Hello Sunshine will launch Hello Sunshine Video On Demand, a new subscription channel that will spotlight female talent with two new series, including an unscripted show starring Witherspoon herself.
The weekly interview show will be called Shine On With Reese and it’ll give Witherspoon a chance to talk with inspiring women artists, activists, and writers. She’s already got a hefty lineup scheduled that includes Dolly Parton, Ava DuVernay, Pink, America Ferrara, and others. The series kicks off on July 17, and a press release describes each episode as a chance for Witherspoon to uncover “what inspires, motivates, and gives joy to each of these trailblazers, and hear their perspectives on ambition, work, family, and hopes for the future.”
“I am thrilled to have such like-minded, creative collaborators at AT&T to help Hello Sunshine pursue our mission of elevating and showcasing the voices of women that we have such admiration and respect for,” Witherspoon said in the release. “I am so excited for the world to experience the stories from our partnership with AT&T, which are set to be equal parts entertaining, inspiring, thought-provoking and unabashedly real.”

That’s not all she has planned, though. She’s debuting a second show on September 4 that will be called Master the Mess. Think HGTV magic: Two decluttering experts, Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin of the Nashville home organization business The Home Edit, will travel around and give families home makeovers. We can feel the tears welling up already. People can subscribe to Hello Sunshine VOD by going to channel 1112 on Direct TV.
It’s unclear how Witherspoon has time for all of this—she’s currently busy hanging with the Big Little Lies cast filming season two of the show, coproducing an adaptation of Celeste Ng’s novel Little Fires Everywhere with Kerry Washington, staying at the forefront of Hollywood’s Time’s Up initiative, and probably still reading that 15,000-word Elle Woods dissertation her fan wrote.
But as long as nothing gets in the way of Legally Blonde 3, we’re here for whatever she has coming next.
