Michelle Obama Just Officially Became Part of Bruno Mars' 'Squad'
Bruno Mars stopped in Washington, D.C. during his 24K Magic World Tour Saturday night and his number one fan, former First Lady Michelle Obama, stopped by and got a pretty cool piece of merch: a pinstriped personalized jersey with the words “Obama 24K” embroidered in gold.
“Last Night in D.C. Mrs. Obama came to the concert and blessed us with her presence #24kmagicworldtour#Hooligans,” the Uptown Funk singer, who supported D.C. by wearing a Washington Capitals jersey, wrote on Instagram.
Later in the night, Mars also shared another picture with Obama and his band, simply captioning the snap “#Squad.”
Obama’s been outspoken about her love for Mars: she first celebrated the fifth anniversary of her “Let’s Move!” campaign in 2015 by dancing to “Uptown Funk” at the White House Easter Egg Roll and practiced the Grammy-award winning song with Ellen DeGeneres on her show. Obama also invited Mars to sing on the Fourth of July in 2015
Michelle isn’t Mars’s only celebrity fan, of course; Jay Z and Beyonce, Garth Brooks, and more have watched Mars’s tour along the way, but nothing beats an appearance by the former FLOTUS.
