Now that we’ve all decided Sophie Hunter seems nice and we’re happy if Benedict’s happy, can we take a moment to gush over her insanely gorgeous wedding dress?! We’ve finally got a peek at the gown the Cumberbitch-in-chief wore to wed our Oscar-nominated boyfriend, and by jove, it’s a stunner. And it should be, seeing as Anna Wintour picked it out…

That’s right: The all-knowing gaze of Anna Wintour looked out upon the earth and alighted upon the fair Sophie Hunter, then just a little bit pregnant, and decided that she needed to intervene on her behalf with Maison Valentino to create a silver, very Eleanor-of-Aquitane-goes-metallic gown…in exchange for an Annie Leibovitz shot spread in an upcoming issue of Vogue, of course. The couture house only makes about 25 custom bridal gowns a year, but were able to squeeze Soph in as a favour for Anna.
