No, this is not a UFO: The X-Files is officially returning to small screens for a 6 episode run, and yes, the original Mulder and Scully are bringing the truth out there in here to our living rooms / laptop screens / pop culture consciousness.
The cult sci-fi hit (which fun fact, premiered in 1993) will be back for a limited run, and Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny will breeze right back to investigating the universe’s unexplained mysteries, as if coming back from a “a thirteen year commercial break”.
It’s going into production this summer, which should spell a fall 2015 premiere date…or at least, that’s what we’re going to believe.
