A 26-year-old Leduc man faces voyeurism charges after a woman noticed somebody holding a cellphone under her change room stall at the Leduc Recreation Centre on Thursday evening.
The victim confronted the suspect, who turned out to be wearing women’s clothing. She alerted staff, who called police.
The suspect admitted to RCMP he was a man.
“A person has a reasonable expectation of privacy when changing,” Const. Julian Celms said in a news release.
The man was also charged with wearing a disguise with intent. He was released on $2,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in Leduc Provincial Court on Jan. 15.
He was ordered not to possess any visual recording devices, to avoid public change rooms and to stay away from the Leduc Recreation Centre.
