Fielding questions like “what are you wearing?!” is all well and good when she’s out supporting her trophy husband, but Amal Alamuddin Clooney is back and work, and so done with everyone’s obsessive interest in her sartorial choices.

While trying a case at the European Court of Human Rights, Amal shut down a reporter with effortless grace yesterday, when in response to “what are you wearing?”, she smiled and replied: “I’m wearing Ede and Ravenscroft”, pointing to her black court robes. For those not in the legal fashion know, Ede And Ravenscroft are London tailors who specialise in lawyerly garb.
