Looks like Parenthood is determined to not leave any stone unturned before it ends for good.
E! News has confirmed that Jason Ritter will return once more for the final season of the NBC show to reprise his role of Mark Cyr, or Sarah’s (Lauren Graham) former fiance.
Ritter left the show at the end of season four when Mark and Sarah broke up over Sarah’s relationship with Hank (Ray Romano). We last saw Mark when, in season 5, he met up with Sarah to inform her that he was now engaged to someone else.
Mark’s return could signal some much needed closure for the couple (and for fans of the couple), or it could bring some last minute drama into Hank and Sarah’s world. We’ll just have to wait until episode nine to find out!
Since leaving Parenthood, Ritter has acted in various film projects and continues to lend his voice to The Disney Channel’s hit cartoon, Gravity Falls.
