A man from Alberta has been charged in connection with the homicide of a New Brunswick teen last month.
The body of Allen Neil Wilson, of Salisbury, was found near Stony Plain, west of Edmonton, on Sept. 21.
A 55-year-old man from Stony Plain is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday to face charges of second-degree murder and “neglect of duty — dead body,” say RCMP.
The victim and the accused knew each other, Sgt. Josée Valiquette said in a statement on Tuesday.
The cause of death has not been released.
Wilson, who had just graduated from JMA Armstrong High School, had been living in Alberta, pursuing a career as an electrician, working for Copperline Excavating Ltd.. He moved out west on July 23.
RCMP received a call that human remains had been discovered near Highway 16 and Parkland Drive around 8 a.m. on Sept. 21.
The accused was arrested on Oct. 17 by the RCMP major crime unit without incident and remains in custody.
