A Fort McMurray man is facing a total of 10 criminal charges after pointing a shotgun at another motorist in an act of road rage. The incident happened on Highway 63 and 34 year old Fort McMurray resident John Bradley Healey was quickly identified by police as the man responsible for the incident. The victim did not know Healey and called police after a shotgun was pointed at them during the episode of road rage. An arrest was made after a second report of a gun being pointed at a motorist was made, and police caught up with Mr. Healey after the second incident which happened near Highway 63 and Hardin Street. After Healey voluntarily pulled over for the police the black pick up truck that he was driving was searched and police found a double barrel shotgun that had the barrel sawed off, leading to the arrest of the driver.

Right now Healey is being held without bail because of the road rage and the criminal charges related to the shotgun. After being apprehended on Franklin Avenue the suspect had a brief court appearance on a Tuesday and he was held in custody until his next scheduled court appearance which was set for a few weeks later on February 23, 2016. The criminal charges that were laid against Healey include numerous gun related offences that include pointing a firearm and careless use of a firearm. Healey has also been charged with possession of a drug for trafficking. No shots were fired, no one got hurt during the road rage incident, and Mr. Healey will have to answer to the court for his actions.
