Tyler Perry Buys Groceries for Seniors at Dozens of Supermarkets

Tyler Perry is showing up for his community when they need it most.

The comedian and director picked up the tab at 29 grocery stores in the Louisiana and Atlanta area on Wednesday, April 8 during the hour reserved for elderly and high-risk customers.

According to a news release, the 50-year-old TV mogul teamed up with Winn-Dixie to provide food and essential items to elderly and high-risk shoppers throughout Louisiana that have been drastically impacted by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The supermarket company, which serves the Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana and Mississippi communities also took to Twitter to thank the New Orleans native, “Thank you to our friend @tylerperry for paying it forward… Winn-Dixie applauds your love for community and sincere generosity. #StrongerTogether #WinningTogether.”

The Madea’s Family Reunion actor also paid the grocery bill for shoppers at 44 Atlanta-area Krogers stores during the hour designated for older and high-risk shoppers.

On social media, the supermarket company also gave their thanks and applauded the actor giving back to the community.

“@tylerperry paid it forward and purchased groceries for nearly 3,000 senior shoppers today at Krogers stores across Atlanta,” the company wrote on Twitter, alongside a picture of a woman looking visibly emotional, holding up her paid grocery bill.

“You can see how much this means by the look on their faces. Thank you, Tyler, for your generosity!” the supermarket company added on Twitter.

“We would like to join our customers in thanking Mr. Perry for his kindness and generosity during this unprecedented pandemic,” Felix Turner, manager of corporate affairs for Kroger’s Atlanta Division, said in a news release per ABC 7 Chicago.

This isn’t the first time Perry has used his influence for good.

In November 2019, Perry helped a couple stuck in Mexico with $16K in hospital bills.

According to NBC News, the Atlanta couple’s vacation took a scary turn when Tori Austin’s fiancée suffered a medical emergency. “He suffered kidney failure and is currently undergoing dialysis,” a hospital administrator told the publication at the time.

After undergoing many medical treatments and procedures, Austin’s partner Stephen Johnson racked up a medical bill of over $14,000 and could not leave the country to return home until their bill was paid. After creating a GoFundMe page, NBC News reports that Perry saw a news report of their dilemma and sent a payment to cover the bill.

Gwyneth Paltrow Throws a Socially Distant Birthday Parade for Her Son Moses

Gwyneth Paltrow is showing people across the country how to hold a birthday in the time of corona.

The Goop founder is celebrating her son Moses Martin‘s 14th birthday, but because of the coronavirus pandemic, the Martin-Paltrow family had to get a bit creative with their party. Rather than the typical birthday cake and family get-together, Moses had a special parade thrown in his honor.

A stream of cars decorated in posters and balloons came in and out of the family’s well-manicured driveway, where his friends shouted their remarks. Gwyneth danced as the birthday song played while Moses stood in his pajamas and a purple birthday hat. At one point, a person holds a blue birthday bag out of their sun-roof for Moses to run and grab.

Though it wasn’t the traditional birthday party, Moses was more than happy to begin a new year of life with his friends at a socially distanced party.

Many other people have also been sending love from afar. On Instagram, Reese Witherspoon, Kate Hudson and more of his mom’s famous friends commented on Gwyneth’s page with wishes of happiness and celebration. “Moses! Happy birthday sweetheart!!! We love you,” Hudson wrote, before adding a heart.

And there was no one more excited about Moses’ big day than his own mother. She posted a handful of photos of her teenage son with a heartwarming caption. Paltrow shared, “This kid is the best and he is 14 today. Unbelievable. He is the kindest little man and he has the most unique way of looking at the world and expressing himself. Mosey, I could not be more proud of you in every way. You conquer all you set out to do, you never quit, you are immensely talented and a great friend. I hope you never stop hugging me goodbye when you go into the next room. I love you.”

Happy Birthday, Moses!

Sex and the City Cast Joins Forces to Honor NYC Healthcare Workers Fighting Coronavirus

This is really BIG news!

On Wednesday, the Sex and the City cast joined forces to show their love, support and gratitude towards healthcare workers. It’s no secret that medical workers have been on the front lines during the Coronavirus pandemic.

For the latest episode of the Bradshaw Boys podcast, which was shared on YouTube, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, Kim Cattrall and other stars from the hit series shared a recorded message to New York City healthcare professionals.

The HBO cast members gave a special shout out to Meg, who is a doctor working in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit. She’s also a huge SATC fan.

“What Meg is doing, what her colleagues are doing… I don’t think we ever imagined we’d be asking this of our medical community,” Parker expressed. “I don’t know how to thank them enough.”

“Thank you so much for your work, it’s incredible what you guys are doing,” Willie Garson shared. “I know you guys don’t often feel that way… people are aware that you literally are saving lives left and right.”

“You guys are actually heroes,” he added.

Cynthia Nixon said she felt a personal connection to the hospital Meg works at.

“I know how amazing your hospital is, you saved my mother’s life when she had a heart attack in 2001,” she shared. “Thank you for what you are doing, I hear your husband is also an ER doctor. You’re just our heroes right now. Please stay safe. And just thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

“Thank you so much for what you’re doing,” Davis said. “We know it’s really difficult and it means so much to all of us that you are on the front lines. Thank you for watching Sex and the City, we’re happy to bring you some joy.”

Cattrall shared, “Thank you for all that you do on the front lines… of this horrific pandemic.”

“Without you, we couldn’t keep going. I’m so glad to hear that we put a smile on your face as you walk across the park and get on that front line,” she added. “We’re with you. We love you. We can’t do it without you.”

And we couldn’t help but wonder, was this the best feel-good content of the day?

Shahs of Sunset's Golnesa "GG" Gharachedaghi Opens Up About Her Coronavirus Birth Plan

When it comes to pregnancy journeys, Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi could have never predicted this.

With just weeks to go until she welcomes a baby boy, the Shahs of Sunset star is faced with the realization that she will likely give birth during the Coronavirus pandemic.

In an exclusive sit down for E!’s digital series Just the Sip, the mom-to-be opened up about how she was really feeling before the big day.

“We are living in such a weird time right now with this Coronavirus situation that has changed everything for everyone,” she told E! News’ Justin Sylvester. “Being eight and a half months pregnant and scared to leave my house. I can’t go to doctors regularly anymore. I have an autoimmune disease and I’m going through issues with that. And knowing I have to get isolated in a room, it’s been a little tough the last few weeks. It’s been tough. It’s been scary.”

GG has been told she can only have one person near her in the hospital when she gives birth. As of right now, she’s debating between having her sister or mother besides her during the monumental day.

“This wasn’t a part of what I thought it was going to be like,” she confessed. “I’m excited but it’s hard to see past what’s happening.”

Before she welcomes her first child, GG also had the chance to talk to new dad Andy Cohen. During their conversation, the Shahs of Sunset star was able to express her fears about one part of parenthood.

“I know that I’m going to get to that point where my son is going to say, ‘Why didn’t you give me a dad? Why were you so selfish and you were just thinking about your self?'” she explained. “It scares the s–t out of me and when I saw Andy Cohen in New York, I said to him, ‘What are you going to say when [your son] Ben asks why don’t I have a mommy?’ He said, ‘I honestly don’t know but you’ll figure it out and just know your love should be enough.'”

Despite any fears or concerns, GG is thankful she has been given this opportunity to start a family. And while some critics may not agree with all of her decisions, the CEO of cannabis wellness brand Wüsah is happy to be doing life on her terms.

“I’m really happy I didn’t listen to all the chitter chatter and outside noise of people ridiculing me for having these ideas and wanting to do something alone,” she shared. “I still get a little bit of that side noise…but it feels so right.”

Shahs of Sunset airs Friday nights at 9 p.m. only on Bravo.

(E! and Bravo are part of the NBCUniversal family)

''Friday'' Singer Rebecca Black Comes Out as Queer

Rebecca Black is opening up about her sexuality and identifying as queer.

In a recent interview with Dating Straight podcast hosts Jack Dodge and Amy Ordman, Black shared that she had recently gone through a breakup with a woman.

“I was dating someone and I know they might watch this… but one of the reasons that we went through this breakup was because I was really needed alone time, not from them, but just in general,” she continued. “But I’m doing okay… every day really is different.”

On the topic of putting a label on her sexuality, Black said, “I made a conscious decision to not like ‘come out’ but to just like, I don’t know, people started asking and I stopped responding. I’m still in the process it feels like.”

When asked how she specifically identifies, Black answered: “Every day is different, it’s something that over the past few years I’ve obviously been having a lot of conversations with myself about… and with you guys, my friends and my family.”

“To me, the word ‘queer’ feels really nice. I have dated a lot of different types of people, and I just don’t really know what the future holds. Some days, I feel a little more on the ‘gay’ side than others,” she added.

She also added that because she recently got out of a relationship with another one, she’s not necessarily looking to date anytime soon. “I don’t really want to date right now but even if I did, I have no choice,” she added. “Unless I wanted to… Skype date people.”

Black also added that while she and her former partner called it quits, they’re still trying to be there for each and support one another. “It’s a weird time to go through a break up,” she added. “‘Cause you’re not going out and meeting new people at all.”
