Here's What Happened When Hilary Duff Let Her 8-Year-Old Son Do Her Makeup

Hilary Duff has a new makeup artist—her son Luca!

The 32-year-old actress let her firstborn do her glam and shared a photo of the finished look via Instagram Stories on Wednesday.

“I’m getting my makeup done by an 8-year-old,” Duff told her followers.

Luca wouldn’t let his mom see his work until the very end. In fact, he wanted to keep the entire process a surprise. When Duff asked what vibe he was going for, Luca replied, “I’m not telling you.”

However, it seemed like the reveal was worth the wait. Luca went with a bold red lip and a mismatched eyeshadow palette.

“It’s subtle; it’s unique. I’ve never done a makeup like this before, but I like it—especially the left upper part,” Duff said, pointing to the crooked paint job.

Duff shares her son with her ex, Mike Comrie. She’s also the proud mom to daughter Banks, whom she welcomed with her husband Matthew Koma in October 2018.

During interviews with Parents magazine, Duff opened up about Luca’s special bond with Koma and how they call him his “bonus dad.”

“I think that Luca liking Matt was the biggest concern of Matt’s life,” the Lizzie McGuire star told the magazine two years ago. “He didn’t want to be forceful and bring a bunch of gifts over you know? He was like, ‘I am just going to let him come to me.’ I think it was a really smart move because now they have such a special relationship and they have their games that they play that I’m not really involved in. They call themselves the sweet team, and I’m the broccoli team, which is so unfair. Matt is so helpful and so great with Luca. He knows that Luca has a great dad too, so he is like, ‘I feel so lucky that I get to experience watching him grow up and be his special friend.'”

Like many people, the family of four has been social distancing amid the global coronavirus pandemic. In fact, Duff recently shared her tip for dealing with any tension during this time.

“Guys, whenever you’re mad at your man—these quarters are too tight to fight—just do little things like hide his phone in the couch, deep down in there,” she said.

Of course, fans shouldn’t read too far into her post.

“Even tho I hid his phone today, I still like him,” she wrote via the social network.

Celebrate Kristen Stewart's Birthday With Her Most Badass Moments

Throw on your favorite pair of Converse or Keds because today we’re all about celebrating Kristen Stewart‘s birthday!

The actress turns 30 years old today and while we could go on and on about her amazing acting roles, we’re taking the day to look back at her most badass moments off-screen.

We first got to know Stewart back in 2008 when she was cast as of Bella Swan in the pop culture phenomenon Twilight, a role that shot the then 17-year-old into the limelight.

Since then, we’ve seen the star go from a shy teenager to a confident woman who knows exactly who she is and isn’t afraid to embrace it.

We watched her come out stronger on the other end of being the subject of tabloids, embrace herself as a feminist and take on challenging roles, like her physically demanding one in last year’s Charlie’s Angels.

So, whether you are a superfan or just learning now about how cool the performer is, we’ve rounded up some of Stewart’s most inspiring moments ever.

Until that magical, hope-inducing moment, there is a slight silver lining in our socially distant days: Beauty maintenance does not have to come to a total screeching halt.

Since our waxing appointments are on hiatus, you may be noticing a few more errant hairs these days, whether on your face or much further below. If you want them gone, they can be thanks to Flamingo, which offers face and body wax kits delivered right to your doorstep.

For When Your Skin Is Looking Sad:

If your skin is dull, dry or popping up with stress pimples, it may be awhile before you can get in for your usual professional facial. Throw on some slippers, light a candle, grab your skincare products and it’s almost like you’re in a spa…for now.

Immortal Beloveds: See the Cast of Twilight Then and Now

After being in the band 100 Monkeys from 2008 to 2012, the actor who played Jasper Hale continued doing TV and small movies after the Twilight Saga ended, but also focused on making more music, dropping a solo album called American Spirit Blues.

In one of those odd twists of fate that luckily turned out OK, Rathbone was aboard a Jetblue flight in 2014 that had to make an emergency landing after an engine explosion. He tweeted all about it, including how he and his wife since 2013, Sheila Hafsadi, and then-2-year-old son, Monroe, had to exit via the emergency slide.

He makes his home in Austin, Texas, with Sheila and their three children: Monroe, daughter Presley and son Felix, who was just born in December 2019.

A video he posted of himself on April 7, 2020, playing his guitar merited a comment from his Twilight sister Nikki Reed, who wrote, “Omg this made me miss you! Thinking of Portland and the many late nights watching you play 25 interments at once and totally in awe of your multi-tasking skills.”

Todd Chrisley Hospitalized After Testing Positive for Coronavirus

Dennis Leupold/USA Network

Todd Chrisley is on the mend after testing positive for coronavirus.

The Chrisley Knows Best star and wife Julie Chrisley revealed the news on Wednesday’s episode of their podcast, Chrisley Confessions.

“Can we talk about this bitch called corona?” he shared. “I have been battling corona for 3 weeks. I was in the hospital for 4 and a half days, fever between 100 to 103 [degrees] and it has been the sickest I have ever been on this earth.”

He added, “Hopefully, I will get better every day, but as of right now, folks, I still am not clicking on all cylinders. I am probably about 70 to 75 percent of what I normally I am, but that last 25 percent is kicking my ass.”

In a lengthy message shared with her 2 million Instagram followers, Todd’s daughter Savannah Chrisley said he was diagnosed with COVID-19 two and a half weeks ago and offered more insight into his time spent at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.

“I have never been so scared in my life,” Savannah wrote, adding, “When dad started getting sick I immediately started worrying… he and I are the worriers of the bunch. After a couple days mom and I talked him into going to urgent care… he went in and he was showing all symptoms of COVID-19 so they tested him.”

Savannah then addressed critics who could assume her father was able to get tested because of his fame, writing, “So before people say… ‘OH HE ONLY GOT TESTED BECAUSE HE’S A CELEBRITY…’ u are WRONG! He went into an urgent care just like the rest of [you] would. After getting tested he went back home and stayed quarantined in his bedroom for 7 days and then his test came back… POSITIVE… when mom and I read that our hearts dropped.”

After “worsening” symptoms,” Savannah said Todd “couldn’t fight it any longer” and was taken to the emergency room by Julie.

“When she got there they made her drop him off and leave because of all the strict guidelines. He stayed at Vanderbilt for 3 days and those were the hardest 3 days I think I’ve ever endured,” the 22-year-old recalled. “I talk to my daddy 10x a day! He’s my best friend… I also never go to bed a single night without a ‘Goodnight and I love you’ text.. and now my dad was sitting in a hospital room by himself and I had no idea how he was.”

Savannah’s post concluded, “At one point I fell on my hands and knees and begged God to not take him..to not take my best friend..I would give everything I had if it meant keeping my daddy. I was so desperate that I dropped photos of our family off at the hospital and said ‘If he sees these I know he’ll keep fighting!’ So I guess the point of me telling u all this is so that u take it seriously…STAY HOME! SOCIAL DISTANCE! And most importantly..LOVE HARDER THAN EVER! Life is so short.”

The reality TV star also personally thanked Kim Zolciak-Biermann for her guidance throughout Todd’s health scare.

“Also y’all… @kimzolciakbiermann was a saint during this whole thing as well! If you didn’t know…she used to be a nurse…so she gave me so many tips and helped to calm my nerves,” Savannah wrote, to which she replied, “God is good. so grateful he is feeling better.”

Modern Family Says Goodbye in Emotional, Slightly Ridiculous Series Finale

Modern Family has come to an end.

After 11 seasons, the Pritchett/Dunphy/Tucker/Marshall clan all said goodbye with a two-part finale tonight, and when we say that, we mean they literally all did a lot of saying goodbye, over and over and over again.

Pretty much everyone is headed somewhere new, whether it’s Switzerland, Colombia, Missouri, Oregon, or just a new apartment, but it was Mitch and Cam who kept almost leaving throughout the finale. Juuuuust as they had settled into their new house with their new baby, Cam got a call that the coaching job in Missouri was his after all, and Mitch only hesitated just a little.

A surprise appearance from Elizabeth Banks as their old friend Sal, who is their new would-be neighbor, sealed the deal, and so the Tucker-Pritchetts are headed to Missouri, finally, after many false starts due to tornadoes and hail delaying their flights.

That gave Mitch and Claire time to go steal back their skating trophy from the high school, while Cam and Gloria bonded as he steamed his suit.

The Dunphys

Phil and Claire thought they needed one of their grown-up kids to move out to make their house livable, but just as they decided they no longer needed that, all of their kids announced they’re moving out anyway.

Alex’s new job is now located in Switzerland, and she’s starting up a slightly unorthodox, Haley-approved relationship with her new boss. Luke got into the University of Oregon, and Haley and Dylan realized they now have enough money (thanks to Dylan participating in medical trials) to get an apartment on their own.

With all their kids gone, Claire agreed to join Phil on an RV trip across the country.

The Pritchetts

As Gloria, Manny, and Joe prepared for a trip to Colombia, Jay seemed to be losing his mind as he just stared off into the distance, but he was actually learning Spanish in preparation to join his family on their trip.

Jay also successfully bought Cam and Mitch an insane housewarming present (see above) that they unexpectedly loved, but he will haunt us forever. Thanks so much, Modern Family.

Modern Family aired on ABC.
