Celebrate National Siblings Day With the Kardashians, Bellas & More on E!

Sometimes, your best friends are also family!

Today is National Siblings Day and while we send love to our own brothers or sisters, we’re also spending the weekend laughing along with many of E!’s most fun families.

And the phrase blood runs thicker than water couldn’t be more true for Nikki and Brie Bella, who are total badasses that have each other’s backs as WWE divas and in their personal lives.

Plus, everyone who loved Sister, Sister, one of TV’s most iconic shows about being besties with your sibling, can relive Tia and Tamera Mowry-Housley ‘s relationship in their reality show Tia & Tamera.

All of these shows are playing today and through this weekend, giving you the perfect activity to celebrate the holiday and maybe watch an episode or two with your own sibling over FaceTime.

Grey's Anatomy Finale Saves Richard, But Other Things Are In Trouble

If we didn’t know better, we would have thought that was the season ending that Grey’s Anatomy had originally planned.

Season 16 was cut short by four episodes due to the coronavirus pandemic, but what became the finale aired tonight and gave us quite a bit to ponder until next season begins (whenever that will be).

First of all, Richard is saved. He was not developing Alzheimer’s after all, and it was DeLuca who made the correct diagnosis of cobalt poisoning, thanks to a cobalt hip replacement Richard had gotten three years ago. Link was pulled away from Amelia’s labor to take out the rotting hip, leaving Bailey to support Amelia during the birth.

Richard came out of it just fine, but his illness did not fix his problems with Catherine. He didn’t care that she was there for him while he was sick. He’s still mad at her, and she still hasn’t apologized (when he wasn’t hallucinating).

Elsewhere, Teddy was determined to marry Owen that night, despite how determined Tom was to convince her not to do that. He did easily convince her (mostly just with kissing) to sleep with him one last time, but of course, Teddy’s phone called Owen during the sex and left him a rather upsetting voicemail.

When Owen, during a surgery, heard that he had a voicemail from Teddy, he told Schmitt to put it on speaker, and oohhhh boy was that a bad idea.

He then went to listen to the whole thing by himself, and heard that the end of the message included a conversation between Teddy and Tom about how she was going to marry Owen, and this was goodbye.

Teddy later came out of her room in her wedding dress, only to find Owen’s mom taking all the decorations down because Owen “got pulled into a surgery.”

And in MerLuca land, after Richard’s successful surgery (which DeLuca was only allowed to watch), Mer found him sitting on the floor in tears. He admitted something is wrong with him, and she took him home, right after turning down a drinks invite from Hayes.

As cute and Irish as Hayes is and as clearly unwell DeLuca is, we still can’t let go of Meredith and DeLuca together, so it’s a nice sign to see them spending all this time together as she helps him figure himself out. Might we also suggest Hayes and Jo giving things a try? She deserves someone hot with an accent after everything she’s been through this season.

Anyway, this is going to be a long few months without this show, but at least we have Station 19! Tonight, Station 19 killed off Andi’s dad (via epic self sacrifice), after previously killing her best friend this season, which is so fun for her. We’re not worried about her mental state at all, are we? And we’re also not worried about our own mental state as we sit here talking to ourselves via this recap, are we? Nope! Everything is fine.

Grey’s Anatomy airs on ABC.

Lori Loughlin's Daughter's Infamous Rowing Photos Revealed By Prosecutors

Federal prosecutors in the college admissions scandal have filed a response to Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli‘s request to dismiss the case. In new court documents obtained by E! News, emails, phone transcripts and photos further reveal the famous couple’s alleged involvement with the scam’s accused ring leader, William “Rick” Singer.

Among the exhibits submitted by prosecutors are photos of their daughters, 20-year-old Olivia Jade and 21-year-old Bella Giannulli, posing on an indoor rowing machine, which prosecutors allege were taken by Lori and Mossimo and sent to Singer to help them gain admission to the University of Southern California.

According to the documents, Singer sent an email to the couple in Aug. 2016, which read, “Lori and Moss, I met with USC today about [redacted]. I need a PDF of her transcript and test scores very soon while I create a coxswain portfolio for her. It would probably help to get a picture with her on an ERG in workout clothes like a real athlete too.”

Mossimo responded, “Fantastic. Will get all.” In an email dated Sep. 7, 2016, Mossimo sent Singer the image below.

One month later, prosecutors allege Lori and Mossimo’s daughter was granted admission as a purported recruit on USC’s crew team. Singer emailed Mossimo, “Please send 50K payment to the person below,” referencing Donna Heinel, the former Senior Women’s Associate Athletic Director of at USC.

Giannulli then asked, “For accounting purposes would I categorize this as a donation?” Singer replied, “Yes.”

In March 2017, after Giannulli’s daughter was formally admitted to USC, the documents include an invoice from Singer’s bookkeeper emailed to Lori and Mossimo for a purported $200,000 contribution to the Key Worldwide Foundation, Singer’s non-profit organization. The documents state that Giannulli forwarded the invoice to his financial advisor, writing, “Good news my [older] daughter is in [U]SC.. bad [news] is I had to work the system.”

Four months later, prosecutors claim Singer requested that Lori and Mossimo “send an ‘Action Picture’ of their younger daughter for use in an athletic profile that he noted would falsely present her as a coxswain for the L.A. Marina Club crew team.”

Mossimo responded in an email, copying Lori, with the below photo.

For the second time, Mossimo allegedly sent $50,000 to Heinel and in Feb. 2018 when their younger daughter was accepted to USC, he received another $200,000 from the Key Worldwide Foundation.

As E! News previously reported, the former Fuller House star and her husband’s trial is set for October 5, 2020.

Both Lori and Mossimo are facing multiple charges including conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud.

Lori and Mossimo have pled not guilty to all charges and deny any wrongdoing. The couple is facing a maximum of 50 years each and millions of dollars in fines if found guilty.

Gwyneth Paltrow's Facialist Shares 3 Easy Steps To Creating An At-Home Spa Day

Your skin can always benefit from a little self-care, and one of the best ways to rejuvenate your complexion is by getting a facial. Thankfully, celebrity facialist Vanessa Hernandez says that a spa-quality facial can be achieved at home—with the proper tools, of course.

According to the VH Skincare founder, who has helped stars like Gwyneth Paltrow, Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt, Amber Valletta and more get their skin red-carpet ready, recreating her go-to facial is the key to creating the perfect  at-home spa day. And, it only requires three easy steps: Exfoliate, infuse and restore.

Step 1: Exfoliate

“First and foremost, it is super important to exfoliate your face,” she tells E! News exclusively. “Exfoliating not only reveals a stunning canvas by making your skin appear smoother, polished and youthful, it also makes it easier and more effective for product penetration.”

To exfoliate, Hernandez recommends opting for face washing devices like the Foreo Luna Mini 2 to physically remove the top outer-most layer of the skin, which is often made up of dry and dead skin cells that can contribute to your complexion’s lack of smoothness and evenness. Another tool that helps exfoliate the skin is the Dermaflash, which mimics the same results as dermaplaning by removing dead skin buildup and fine hair from the face.

If you’re not looking to invest in a new skincare tool, Hernandez suggests giving Ayur Medic Antibacterial Wash a try. With its exfoliating beads, which she says work well on acne-prone skin, the cleanser will slough away dead skin cells and unclog pores to reveal a clearer complexion.

DIY it: Add a pinch of baking soda to your face wash or cleanser to enhance your skin’s brightness while also boasting the kitchen staple’s antibacterial and antimicrobial benefits.

Step 2: Mask Infuse

“Now that your skin is prepped, it’s time to mask and infuse potent ingredients using a little help from specifically formulated delivery systems, like targeted acids, hydrogel face masks and new-to-market eye masks,” Hernandez explains. Depending on your skincare concern, the renowned skin guru recommends a variety of different masks. If dullness is your key concern, Hernandez suggests the Environ Revival Mask, which is designed to correct sun damage and renew skin. If you’re looking to enhance your skin’s moisture and plumpness, the 100% Pure Ginseng Collagen Boost Mask will intensely hydrate the skin and boost hydration and firm the skin.

When masking, Hernandez stresses that the product should only be applied to the face for 10 to 20 minutes. And, she notes that it’s important to cater to the eye area as well. Using eye masks like SkinMedica Instant Bright Eye Masks will help brighten, firm and hydrate your under-eyes while creating a more refreshed and revitalized complexion.

Step 3: Restore and Hydrate

For what Hernandez calls the “most luxurious part” of the facial, step 3 involves restoring and hydrating the face, neck and chest area with a facial oil to ensure that your skin is balanced and nourished.

One tool that improves the efficacy of this step is a gua sha, which gently presses your facial oil into the skin while also firming, sculpting and removing puffiness. “Always sculpt in upward motions,” she encourages, noting that this technique should be done for 3 to 5 minutes. “This will stimulate blood circulation, all while delivering powerful antioxidants, vitamins, and essential minerals and extreme hydration. Take this time to appreciate your beauty and truly embrace self-care.”

As for her favorite facial oils, Hernandez says that the Vintner’s Daughter Active Botanical Serum is a luxury option that promotes youthful-looking skin with its nutrient-rich formula. For those with sensitive or acne-prone skin, she recommends adding the Herbivore Botanicals Lapis Balancing Facial Oil to your skincare routine for its oil-balancing and redness-reducing benefits.

DIY it: Combine avocado oil, a squeeze of an orange wedge and one drop of lavender oil to boost your skin’s hydration and give it a healthy dose of nutrients.

The Weeknd Shuts Down Usher Feud After Accusing Him of Ripping Off Musical Style

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery after all.

The Weeknd has officially set the record straight after his recent comments about Usher began to catch heat on the internet. But first, let’s brush up on the facts.

In a sit-down interview with Variety released Wednesday, The Weeknd accused Usher of wrongfully using his 2011 mixtape House of Balloons as inspiration for the 2012 track “Climax.”

“I heard ‘Climax,’ that Usher song, and was like, ‘Holy f–k, that’s a Weeknd song,'” he told the publication. “It was very flattering, and I knew I was doing something right, but I also got angry. But the older I got, I realized it’s a good thing.”

Usher clearly caught wind of The Weeknd’s remarks, taking to Instagram to sing an a cappella version of “Climax.” Enter the #ClimaxChallenge, which was started by singer-producer Eric Bellinger to encourage The Weeknd to attempt to hit Usher’s falsetto notes.

The R&B singer did not respond with a tune of his own, however, he did shut down any truth to the speculation that he and Usher were actually beefing.

“Of course media blows things out of proportion and takes things out of context. Usher is a king and always an inspiration so it was flattering to hear what him and Diplo did on ‘Climax,’ he wrote via Instagram Stories on Thursday.

Diplo, who co-produced “Climax,” has also since acknowledged The Weeknd’s contribution to the song.

“the production on Climax lends itself to House of Balloons era @theweeknd,” Diplo tweeted. “when I heard those early records they blew my mind – soulful in their silences, and a spacey iconic voice that felt uniquely internet. the idea of R&B having dark edges was what I wanted to bring to @usher.”

Usher has not yet commented on The Weeknd’s clarification.
