Watch Prince William Virtually Open a Hospital Amid Coronavirus Pandemic

Prince William is virtually carrying out his royal duties.

On Thursday, the Duke of Cambridge opened the new NHS Nightingale Hospital in Birmingham, England via video conference. During his speech, William took a moment to thank staffers for their hard work in getting the emergency COVID-19 hospital, which will help those in the area that have been diagnosed with the coronavirus, up and running in just 8 days.

“The building you are standing in is yet another example of how people across the country have risen to this unprecedented challenge,” he said. “The Nightingale hospitals will rightly go down as landmarks in the history of the NHS.”

While practicing social distancing, William has been virtually connecting with various charities to ensure that those affected by the pandemic are receiving essential resources during this challenging time. Earlier this week, the dad of three chatted with a local farmer that teamed up with the Duke’s National Emergency Trust to provide families in need with food.

To raise spirits ahead of the Easter holiday, William and Kate Middleton had a surprise video call with the staff and students of Place2Be. As the couple thanked the teachers for their hard work, the festively dressed students excitedly displayed their gifts to them, which were handmade portraits of William and Kate.

The Duke and Duchess even recruited their children Prince George, 6, Princess Charlotte 4, and Prince Louis, 23 months, to help them pay tribute to healthcare workers fighting on the front lines of the outbreak. Standing next to each other outside on the royal lawn, the sweet siblings gave medical workers a round of applause in an adorable video posted by the official Kensington Palace Twitter account.

“To all the doctors, nurses, carers, GPs, pharmacists, volunteers and other NHS staff working tirelessly to help those affected by #COVID19: thank you. #ClapForOurCarers #ClapForCarers #ThankYouNHS #ClapForNHS,” the caption read.

Sharing an uplifting sentiment of her own, Queen Elizabeth II sent the people of the U.K. a heartwarming message on the day before Easter and reminded them that “Coronavirus will not overcome us.”

“This year, Easter will be different for many of us, but by keeping apart we keep others safe,” she said. “But Easter isn’t canceled; indeed, we need Easter as much as ever. The discovery of the risen Christ on the first Easter Day gave his followers new hope and fresh purpose, and we can all take heart from this. We know that Coronavirus will not overcome us.”

Her Majesty added, “May the living flame of the Easter hope be a steady guide as we face the future. I wish everyone of all faiths and denominations a blessed Easter.”

Shahs of Sunset Sneak Peek: MJ Wants to Apologize to Destiney, But Will She Accept It?

A Shahs of Sunset sit down.

In this exclusive clip from Friday’s all-new episode, Mercedes “MJ” Javid meets with Destiney Rose in an attempt to make peace. As E! readers surely know, Destiney has been at the heart of MJ’s feud with once BFF Reza Farahan.

Earlier in the season, Destiney brought to light gossip about Reza’s husband, Adam Neely, possibly being unfaithful. Destiney was told this bit of gossip by close friend Ali Ashouri. Yet, it’s been alleged that MJ conspired with Ali to get this rumor circulated.

While it’s been implied that Destiney intentionally played a part in manifesting this drama, she’s maintained her innocence.

With accusations flying about from both sides, MJ and Destiney sit down in order to clear the air.

“I want to start by saying that I already like your energy, because it feels like we’re probably, hopefully, going to be on the same page,” MJ starts off. “I honestly think we were really good friends, in a really good place. Where it went left? A lot of it is a lot of lies.”

As MJ explains in a confessional, since she’s already apologized to Reza, she feels it’s only right to “open a line of communication to start fixing things with Destiney.”

“I’m here to apologize, I’m here to be a hundred percent transparent,” she continues during the meeting. “Something really, really, really, really small between Ali and Reza had to engulf into this giant, nonsense, toxic bulls–t.”

However, MJ makes it clear that she has no interest in this sit down turning into a dramatic, crying situation.

John Tsiavis/Bravo

“You realize the tears are from hurt, right?” Destiney responds.

Per Destiney, she feels hurt and betrayed by someone she once considered like a sister. “I just don’t trust her,” Destiney concludes.

Will MJ and Destiney ever move past this drama? For that answer, be sure to catch Friday’s all-new episode.

Shahs of Sunset airs Fridays at 9 p.m. on Bravo!

(E! and Bravo are both part of the NBCUniversal family)

SNL's Michael Che Paying Rent for Residents in His Late Grandmother's Building

Michael Che is honoring his late grandmother.

The Saturday Night Live star has announced that he will be paying one month’s rent for 160 apartments in his late grandma’s New York City Housing Authority building that she lived in. Che shared the heartbreaking news earlier this month that his grandmother had passed away due to complications from Coronavirus.

On Wednesday night, Che took to Instagram to write, “It’s crazy to me that residents of public housing are still expected to pay their rent when so many New Yorkers can’t even work. Obviously I can’t offer much help by myself. But in the spirit and memory of my late grandmother, I’m paying one month’s rent for all 160 apartments in the NYCHA building she lived in.”

“I know that’s just a drop in the bucket,” Che continued. “So I really hope the city has a better plan for debt forgiveness for all the people in public housing, AT THE VERY LEAST.”

The “Weekend Update” star went on to call upon New York City’s Mayor Bill de Blasio, Governor Andrew Cuomo and Diddy for help.

“De Blasio! Cuomo! Diddy! Let’s fix this!” Che wrote. “Page me!”

Many celebrities are stepping up and giving back amid the Coronavirus pandemic.

Last month, a rep for Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard confirmed that the couple had waived rent collection in April for their tenants in California, where the state is currently under a shelter-at-home order.

Michael Buble's Rep Calls Online Concern for Luisana Lopilato a ''Failed Effort of Cyber Bullying''

Recent videos of Michael Bublé and wife Luisana Lopilato  sparked concern among fans after the star appeared to treat his partner in a rough manner. However, his rep says these interactions are hardly cause for worry.

In a statement to E! News, the singer’s representative assured, “Anyone who watches them on Facebook live every day can see that this is a beautiful partnership filled with love.” The rep added that the allegations are “a failed effort of cyber bullying” against the couple.

This is now the third time that Michael and Luisana have had to address the controversy, which began over the weekend when they went on Instagram Live to record a video of themselves reading a children’s book. In said Live session, Bublé elbows Luisana, in what some people say was a forceful manner. He also grabbed her arm to pull her in for a hug, but fans also believe the gesture was too harsh.

Not long after, social media users brought up past clips in which the “Haven’t Met You Yet” singer allegedly berates his wife.

In one clip from March 23, the singer told the camera, “Honestly, I can’t wait till you get to see the divorce on this. Cause honestly, I’m telling you right now, if you think this is an act, it’s not an act. My God.”

In the same video, he also chastised Luisana for being two minutes late to film. “You’re so dead to me,” the  remarked as she came into the frame, before detailing the numerous “lies” he tells to people when she’s running behind.

But Luisana insisted in a statement that despite appearances she is fine. “[I] come out every day with my husband to try to do [Instagram] lives to bring some happiness, entertainment, longing, and we have to put up with, hear and see what people with ill intentions are posting without knowing anything about our family,” she shared. “And after all the pain that we have experienced, I want you all to know that I have no doubts about who my husband is and that I would chose him again a thousand times over!”

The Rebelde Way star added in a second statement that she’s grateful so many fans reached out in concern, but said it’s not necessary. With Michael by her side, she said in a video, “It’s very important that we pay attention to these problems that have been mentioned and I am lucky not to suffer. But it is important to pay attention to be able to help women that are going through it.”
