From Brad Pitt to Billie Eilish, These Are the Best Moments From John Krasinski's Some Good News Show

John Krasinskiis proving that one small act of kindness can have a big impact on the world.

The Office star created his YouTube show Some Good News three-weeks-ago and in that short amount of time, he’s brought joy to countless people. For one, people love to see the man who played Jim Halpert on the NBC show, because who doesn’t? Secondly, the actor has done actual good for people, both physically and mentally.

For example, teens across the country were devastated to learn they would not be able to dance the night away at their prom this year. In the grand scheme of things, it wasn’t the biggest problem people were facing, but John wanted to make things right all the same. So he recruited some of his most famous friends to throw the best party possible, albeit virtually. As a result, high schoolers felt a little less disappointed and viewers’ spirits were a little more uplighted.

And each week, he and wife Emily Blunt continue to spread the happiness many people crave.

Serena Williams Pulls a Mariah Carey and Jokes She's ''Never Heard of'' BFF Meghan Markle

Serena Williams‘ comebacks deserve an award!

The tennis legend and fashion designer recently pulled a Mariah Carey when she was asked about her best friend, Meghan Markle.

On Monday afternoon, Serena joined her sister, Venus Williams, during a live chat with Naomi Campbell on YouTube. The famous sisters talked about all things beauty, fashion and more with the supermodel.

However, there was one topic that was off-limits for Serena: her BFF and former senior member of the British royal family.

“Are you happy that your girlfriend’s moved to America? Meghan Markle,” Naomi asked the tennis icon.

Serena then responded with a Mariah Carey quote—you know, the singer’s infamous moment when she said “I don’t know her” in reference to Jennifer Lopez.

“Don’t know what you’re talking about. Don’t know nothing about that,” Serena said with a cheeky smile and laugh. “Never seen it, never heard of her, don’t know her.”

Just last month, Meghan and Prince Harry left Canada to spend time in sunny Los Angeles. An insider told E! News the couple plans to stay in the City of Angels with their son, Archie Harrison.

“They have started to look at homes online and are in the process of interviewing security teams. They are getting their ducks in a row and seeing if it’s logistically possible,” a source previously shared with us.

Fans will know that the former Suits actress was born and raised in L.A. Moreover, Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland, is a native Angeleno.

It looks like the famous couple is already enjoying their time in the city.

Last week, they lent a helping hand and used their resources to support those in need amid the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.

“Meghan and Harry were looking to be of service on Easter and Meghan was talking to her mother who told her Project Angel Food needs help. She said, ‘Yes, I would love to do it,'” Project Angel Food’s executive director Richard Ayoub told E! News.

Richard added, “They contacted us and came in and we gave them a tour of the kitchen. They were very engaged with everyone they met and asked questions. They were completely down to earth and interested in helping our more vulnerable clients, people who have compromised immune systems who are the most prone to getting the Coronavirus.”

The couple delivered to six people in the Burbank and Glendale areas and enjoyed it so much, they asked to help out even more.

“They liked it so much they asked if they could come back so they did it again yesterday and delivered to 14 people in West Hollywood so 20 deliveries in total,” Richard explained. “They wanted to relieve our drivers, who are doing 50-60 deliveries a day, of their workload. They wanted to ease their load and pay tribute to the chefs.”

Big Time Rush's Surprise Reunion Just Cured Our Monday Blues

Big Time Rush got back together for a sweet virtual hangout and fans are freaking out.

As fans may recall, the iconic boy band from the early 2010s Big Time Rush that was made up of Kendall Schmidt, Carlos PeñaVega, Logan Henderson and James Maslow went on hiatus back in 2014. Since then, all the former band members have pursued their own projects and gone on to start their own families.

But now, they’re getting back together to share some uplifting words for their fans.

“It’s been a little while since we all got together, and we wanted to jump on this little virtual hangout and say hi and wish everybody well,” James said.  “Hope you’re all staying healthy during this crazy time.”

Then Kendall jumped in and said, “It’s a great time to stay connected—like we are—and I think it’s a great time to reach out to friends and family, check in and make sure everyone’s doing okay.”

Then Logan jumped in to say, “You guys, please continue to stay safe and remember to practice a little more love and compassion during a time when we need it most.”

Lastly, Carlos took the mic and said, “Guys, we are in this together. We love you guys so much. Spread that love, spread that Aloha and who knows, a lot to look forward at the end of this. See you guys soon!”

At the end of the video, they all signed out with a peace sign and said “bye” to their fans watching at home.

Of course, fans on Twitter began speculating if this impromptu virtual hangout meant something more was coming in the near future.

“Does this mean an actual reunion is coming after this is all over?” replied one fan. Another fan replied, “‘See you guys soon’ does this mean we should be expecting new music from you guys?!?”

Another Twitter user replied, “‘A LOT TO LOOK FORWARD TO AT THE END OF THIS’ ‘SEE YOU GUYS SOON’ BIG TIME RUSH COMING BACK AFTER THE PANDEMIC OMG.”

The Internet Is Shook By Barack Obama's Title in Michael Jordan Documentary

Father, husband, senator, president and “former Chicago resident.”

Over the weekend, pop culture and sports fanatics alike were glued to their TVs when the new Michael Jordan docu-series was released.

Titled The Last Dance, ESPN’s latest series features many interview subjects discussing the Chicago Bulls basketball player’s legacy.

When Barack Obama appeared on the screen, fans couldn’t help but notice his title was “former Chicago resident.”

Sure, it’s completely true. At the same time, many viewers immediately began to question why Illinois’ former senator and United States commander-in-chief had such a small title.

So what’s the reasoning behind it? Allow director Jason Hehir to explain.

“That is a Michael thing. Barack Obama is not the kind of guy that I can find his number and text him. Michael had a connection,” Jason explained to Richard Deitsch of The Athletic. “But I was pretty adamant that we don’t have people in here who don’t have an organic connection to the story.”

He continued “I think the temptation is because Michael was super famous, let’s get as many super famous people in here as possible. There were conflicting philosophies amongst all the (production) partners of what makes a good documentary and what makes a documentary sizzle. I’m a filmmaker first and I just want to tell the story of this team as if they were not super famous. Who were the human beings who make up this team and how did they become famous and how did they handle that fame?”

In other words, organic connection is what’s most important. Nevertheless, social media users couldn’t help but share their thoughts and reactions online while watching the docu-series.

See some of the most memorable below.

The next two installments of the 10-part series will air this Sunday on ESPN.

Alicia Silverstone Recalls the "Hurtful" Body Shaming She Faced After Making Batman & Robin

Shutterstock

It’s been over two decades since Alicia Silverstone appeared in Batman & Robin, but she still remembers being body shamed by the media over her appearance in the film like it was yesterday.

The 43-year-old actress looked back at that time during an interview with The Guardian published Saturday.

“That definitely wasn’t my favorite film-making experience,” Silverstone told the publication.

As fans will recall, the movie was released in 1997—just two years after Silverstone was catapulted into fame for her role as Cher in Clueless. The star played Batgirl in the film. But as she told the outlet in 2004, paparazzi and journalists used to follower her and chant “fat girl” to the Batman theme.

“They would make fun of my body when I was younger,” she said over the phone for her recent interview. “It was hurtful, but I knew they were wrong. I wasn’t confused. I knew that it was not right to make fun of someone’s body shape, that doesn’t seem like the right thing to be doing to a human.”

Back in 2004, Silverstone told the newspaper she hopes she was “an example to other young girls that it was OK to be a healthy young girl.” Still, dealing with the toxic scrutiny wasn’t easy. During her recent interview, Silverstone recalled a journalist asking about her bra size. However, she told The Guardian she tried to learn from these experiences and identify what was right and wrong.

“There were working circumstances that were less than favorable in terms of how things went down,” she said. “And no, I didn’t say ‘f–k you’ and come out like a warrior but I would just walk away and go, OK I know what that is and I’m done, I’m not going near that again.”

At the beginning of The Guardian‘s article, the writer, Benjamin Lee, called attention to a 1995 profile by Rolling Stone in which the author, Rich Cohen, opened the piece by writing, “Alicia Silverstone is a kittenish 18-year-old movie star whom lots of men want to sleep with.” Silverstone recalled how she was perceived by men at the time and how she wasn’t afraid to put them in their place if there was ever any inappropriate behavior.

“I felt empowered to be like, ‘Oh no you don’t!'” she said.

As for handling this kind of behavior in her personal life, Silverstone told the newspaper her approach “was a lot more muddy.”

While Silverstone said she “stopped acting for a very long time,” she now focuses on the projects she wants to do. For instance, she appears in a new film called Bad Therapy. She also remains committed to her work as an activist and is the proud parent to her son Bear.
