Kristin Cavallari Felt Jay Cutler "Wasn't Supportive" of Her Career as Marriage Crumbled

Kristin Cavallari may have been standing on the sidelines for much of Jay Cutler‘s career in the NFL, but now it’s her turn to be the star player.

On Sunday, the reality TV couple revealed they initiated divorce proceedings after ten years together. “We have nothing but love and respect for one another and are deeply grateful for the years shared, memories made, and the children we are so proud of,” their statement, which they posted to their respective Instagrams, shared. “This is just the situation of two people growing apart.”

But a source tells E! News that their split was partly due to Kristin feeling that Jay “wasn’t as supportive of her career as she would have liked.”

The source reveals Kristin and Jay sought marriage “counseling” to work through their problems. “The issues were ongoing for a long time,” the insider shares. “Things weren’t improving. They both wanted the marriage to work.”

A second source adds, “This was a buildup and a long time coming. It wasn’t a sudden decision and they have known for a while that things were headed in this direction.”

Instagram

As for their three children Camden Jack Cutler, 7, Jaxon Wyatt Cutler, 5, and Saylor James Cutler, 4, the first source shares their “kids will come first,” which is why Kristin and Jay are “still living under one roof” and why they chose to not cancel their vacation to the Bahamas in March, despite struggling with their marriage. “They didn’t cancel the trip to the Bahamas because of the children. It was a pre-planned vacation and they didn’t want to spoil it for them,” the insider notes.

According to both sources, Kristin and Jay will stay in their Nashville home together for the foreseeable future, where they intend to co-parent the three kiddos. The first source states, “The hope, of course, is to remain friends but time will tell.”

While the second source says Kristin wishes to “co-parent” with Jay, it must be noted that the Uncommon James owner requests to be named the “primary residential parent,” according to court documents obtained by E! News. She also cited “irreconcilable differences” and “inappropriate marital conduct” as the grounds for divorce.

Though they’re in the early days of their divorce, the second source notes, “They hope to be cordial and civil to one another and will make every attempt at that.”

Lea Michele Is Pregnant, Expecting First Child With Zandy Reich

Lea Michele is about to be a mom!

A source confirms to E! News that the actress and singer is expecting her first child with husband Zandy Reich.

“They’ve always wanted to be parents,” a source shared with People who first reported the news.

The happy news comes after the couple tied the knot in a romantic ceremony in March 2019 near Napa, Calif. And while the couple recently celebrated their one-year wedding anniversary, they are still in the newlywed phase.

“They are loving the feeling of being married and getting to call each other husband and wife,” a source previously shared with E! News. “They were so ecstatic about the entire [wedding] weekend and just keep talking about how magical and incredible it was. They didn’t want it to end and are still remembering more and more details that they had forgotten.”

The couple’s romance began in July 2017 with Zandy proposing in April 2018.

And although the couple tries to keep their relationship private, fans can’t help but celebrate their love story.

“Grateful for this one,” Lea previously shared on Instagram when posing with her man.

She also celebrated the most romantic day of the year with a heartfelt post to Zandy. “My forever valentine,” she wrote. “Love you z.” And for those wondering, Lea’s husband is not big on social media. Kind of refreshing, right?

As the New York Times best-selling author prepares for the next journey in her life, Lea can count on the support of her family and friends.

And yes, she has a lot to look forward to. After all, she already has plans for when Halloween approaches on the calendar.

“Oh, then they’re going to be like the cutest thing ever,” Lea previously joked during an interview with On-Air With Ryan Seacrest. “I feel like sushi is number one on the list—I want my kids to dress up like a lion or a taco—everything cute and adorable I want that for sure.”

Congratulations to the couple on their big news!

Roswell, New Mexico's Nathan Parsons on the Difficulties of Coming Back From the Dead

It’s been a weird season of Roswell, New Mexico so far for Max Evans (Nathan Parsons).

After dying via sacrifice in the season one finale, he’s been dead for months, appearing only in nightmares had by Rosa (Amber Midthunder) and hallucinations had by Isobel (Lily Cowles). Now, he’s been revived, thanks to the heart of an alien enemy and a little help from the formerly dead girl he sacrificed himself for. We all knew he’d be back eventually (he’s Max Evans), but it took a while, and it certainly took a toll on both Max and Nathan.

“It was definitely harder than I thought it would be,” Parsons tells E! News. “First couple of months of filming was sort of moping around, being a zombie, being a figment of your imagination, being all these fun, quirky things and then it’s like you hit the ground running and everyone else is already halfway through the year and they have all these full blown stories and it’s just sort of a tidal wave of ‘what’s happening?!” trying to catch up.”

But he’s not mad at it.

“I always love playing catch up. It makes you work harder and work faster, and you know, we have this sort of new Max, if you will.”

New Max

Resurrected Max is a whole new guy. He started out angry and dangerous, but a newly powerful Isobel quickly took him down a peg. Then we learned this was a Max free of any memories of Liz (Jeanine Mason), which had visibly changed him.

“In essence, perhaps maybe a little less jaded,” Parsons says. “Now we get to sort of have a clean slate, so it was nice to sort of rediscover who I was in that character.”

Max’s full memory loss didn’t last all that long. By the end of the episode, he remembered Liz, they were sleeping together again, and he genuinely seemed so happy. In fact, everyone seemed happy. Isobel was discovering herself at a gay bar, while Guerin, Maria, and Alex were having a threesome, and all seemed weirdly, dangerously well.

Happiness Is a Bad Sign

“That’s always a bad sign,” Parsons says, referring to just general happiness.

“I think the question is okay, so all this baggage that you had before, where did it go? What happened to it? Is it still there? What’s going on? And we start to see little flashes here and there, this sort of bubbling back up of this old self,” he says of Max’s particularly questionable happiness. “But there’s still a naiveté, if you will, because all of the memory that hurts so much, the heartbreak, the loss, all that’s gone. So we see this sort of bright-eyed, like oh, the world is still new.”

“We don’t know” how much of his memory he got back when he did remember Liz at the end of the episode, Parsons says, but he definitely also got back some memories he didn’t even have before.

“We’re starting to see even memories that were suppressed right before we landed in the pods. Those are starting to bubble to the surface, which were never there before. So it’s sort of a question of how much does one’s memory actually hold?”

Those new memories include the ending scene of last week’s episode, where a man put his hand on the shoulder of a young Max in a weird alien cave, which you can bet Max will be trying to figure out in the coming episodes.

How to Be Resurrected on TV

This isn’t the first time Parsons has played a character who came back to life, especially after being in the Vampire Diaries world on The Originals, and he’s learned a few things.

“I’ve learned that people like to see me die,” he joked. “It’s so different in every situation. Resurrection as a concept is just interesting to examine, and to live in whatever context you’re living it in, you have to ask what were the circumstances when you died? What was dying like? What did it feel like? That depends on how you die. What was the moment before you knew this was going to kill me? What goes through your head?”

And then to come back, you still have all those memories of your life flashing before your eyes, the questions, the fear, the loss, the anger, the whatever it was, all of that is kind of right there and it’s like you wake up in a bad dream,” he continues. “‘That was weird, that was crazy, I don’t understand what just happened, how do I move forward?'”

Max’s case is a little different, because so many of his memories are gone.

“So you sort of wake up with this question of what the hell am I? Where am I? Who are these people? What is this world? At least for Max, for me, it brings me back to a time before that first heartbreak, before that first big love was lost, that burden that you were carrying is now lifted. So there’s like a jubilance, a euphoria, a childishness is back. But every resurrection is different, you know. What can I say? I feel like I’m getting the Sean Bean effect.”

Coming Up for Max and Liz

In tonight’s episode, Liz’s mom returns to town and shake things up a bit. Parsons says she’s a “force of nature” but “it’s the same as meeting any partner’s parents.”

“It’s intimidating for anybody,” he says.

Max and Liz are obviously not quite like a regular couple, since he did just come back to life with her help, and it’s not all going to be smooth sailing ahead, as resurrection presents some hurdles.

“So much time has passed for Liz, from Rosa’s resurrection and my dying to me coming back to life,” Parsons explains. “I mean for me, that time is pretty quick. But months and months have passed for Liz where she’s dealt with the loss of a loved one, and all these questions of ethics and morality in terms of stealing equipment to bring Max back to life, and all these things that she went through that she has a clear memory of. But I have no memory of that. I didn’t go through any of that. So there’s a little resentment there, because for me, it was like a flash, and in the meantime, she’s gone through this whole journey of ups and downs.”

It all continues tonight and every Monday at 9 p.m. on The CW.

TODAY's Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, Al Roker and Carson Daly All Reveal They Never Went to Prom

Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, Al Roker and Carson Daly all have one thing in common: They never went to prom!

On Monday’s episode of NBC’s TODAY, the news anchors revealed that they all skipped the high school milestone as they came together to help throw a virtual prom for the seniors of a Nebraska high school, who were forced to cancel theirs due to coronavirus concerns.

After listening to fellow correspondent Craig Melvin reminisce about his high school prom, Al admitted that he missed out on the dance because he didn’t have anyone to go with. “I couldn’t get a date,” the famous weather forecaster explained. “So, there you go. Sad, but I’m over.”

Surprised to hear that he didn’t go, Craig was curious to hear about Hoda’s prom experience. “I didn’t go to mine either, Al,” she shared. “I didn’t go to the actual dance.” As her yearbook photo displayed on the screen, the mom of two quipped, “That’s probably why. Who is he?”

While the gang laughed, Savannah chimed in and said, “I feel a theme coming on here. No one asked me to prom.” Instead, she shared a picture from her freshman year dance, which featured a sweet nod to her father. “I always liked that picture because my daddy bought me that dress,” she gushed. “Yeah, it’s very ‘80s.”

When it came time to hear about Carson’s prom memories, Craig was expecting to hear that the TRL alum was the most popular guy at the dance, But instead, he joked, “The takeaway here, for those of you watching if you ever want to be a part of the TODAY show. Prerequisite no. 1: Don’t go to prom.”

“I didn’t go to prom either,” Carson continued. “We’re a bunch of losers. I stayed home and watched 60 Minutes with my father and played golf early the next day.” Before signing off, Savannah left high schoolers with an uplifting message, “High school dorks can do better. There’s hope, okay? Look at us—except for Craig. He was cool.”

For the seniors of Douglas County West High School in Valley, the TODAY squad made sure to pull out all of the stops for their virtual prom. After naming the class of 2020’s prom king and queen, the lucky students received a surprise from Demi Lovato, who popped in to celebrate the big event with them.

“I just wanted to say that I’m so proud of all of you for staying home,” the “I Love Me” singer gushed. “I hope this is the world’s most epic virtual prom.”

Just last week, Hoda helped one groom pull off a romantic surprise for his bride by officiating their Zoom wedding. After hearing that the couple was forced to postponed their April nuptials in the wake of the pandemic, Hoda, who is an ordained minister, joined in on their virtual ceremony and watched as they said “I do.” But her appearance wasn’t the only surprise she had in store. For their first dance, they received a virtual serenade from Russell Dickerson

(E! and NBC are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)

Brandon Can't Choose Between 2 Women in The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart Sneak Peek

Things are getting serious on The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart

Tonight, the couples have to decide if they’re in it for the long haul (of at least the next couple weeks of this show) or if their relationship isn’t strong enough to continue on to the next phase of the series, and some decisions are harder than others. Some decisions are also messier than others, like any decision involving Brandon.

Brandon caught the eye of multiple women in week one and especially in week two, driving Savannah, Julia, and Mel a little crazy as they all sort of competed for his rose, with each of them thinking they had it in the bag. Brandon ended up picking Savannah, driving an angry Julia back to Sheridan and Mel on her way home.

Now, in a new sneak peek exclusive to E! News, Brandon is still struggling with his choices, and tells both Savannah and Julia he’s interested.

“I’m still probably one fo the few guys that is like pretty evenly split in my heart about two women,” he tells the camera.

“I’d like to move forward with you for this journey if you wanna do this,” he tells a teary Savannah, and she says she thinks he’s sincere, but is he really? A convo with Julia might say otherwise.

“I knew you were gonna get chosen so that we could continue to talk and pursue something,” he tells her.

Credit to Julia for then going to tell Savannah about this convo, but it feels like heartbreak for somebody is coming, and it doesn’t feel like that somebody is Brandon.

Tonight’s episode finds some of the contestants saying goodbye while others go on to prepare a chemistry-filled performance upon which they will be judged by esteemed judges Kesha, Jason Mraz, and JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers. If they can’t basically melt the stage and all viewers’ eyeballs like Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper did at the Oscars, they could be going home. No pressure at all!

The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
