Watch James Corden "Check In" on Josh Groban, Michael Bublé and More Celebrities Amid Social Distancing

James Corden is “checking in” on his celebrity pals amid social distancing.

The late-night star secretly paid them a virtual visit during Monday’s episode of The Late Late Show.

“To make sure me and my friends and friends of our show can always be in touch, we’ve set up a system so that we can check in on many, many guests who are friends of the show via live video feed whenever we want,” Corden explained. “They don’t know when I’m watching. It’s a secret feed. But we just feel it’s important that we check in on them regularly to see if they’re OK.”

Corden used a “technology” and a “very specific WI-FI” that only sent a message to a celeb’s home when the host landed on a picture of that celeb via his “Checkin’ In” wheel. For instance, after he spun the wheel and it landed on a photo of Josh Groban, fans got to see a “secret video link” of the 39-year-old singer in his home. So, what was the four-time Grammy nominee up to? The footage showed Groban wearing a banana costume while eating a banana and answering his banana “phone.”

“I think we’ve all been in that phase of quarantine, haven’t we?” Corden said. “We’ve all been in that isolation banana phase.”

The Peter Rabbit celebrity also checked in on Whitney Cummings, who took a bit of a tumble after attempting to slide down her staircase on a cushion. In addition, he got a peek into the homes of Tony Hale, who was watching Project Runway with a doll, and Michael Buble, who was debating with his wife Luisana Lopilato over whether to watch Love Is Blind or Tiger King on Netflix.

“When you start treating me like Mark treats Jessica, then you can choose,” she quipped. “Love Is Blind!”

Of course, this was all just part of a sketch. Watch the video to see Corden’s silly stunt.

Chrissy Teigen Just Got Mad at John Legend for a Truly Relatable Reason

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend—sometimes, they truly are just like us.

As the coronavirus pandemic wages on, this celebrity couple has continued to give us the hilarious social media distractions we all could use right now. Such was the case again late Monday when the famous foodie and mom of two shared something her Grammy-winning husband did that, let’s face it, would make you irrationally mad, too.

“Just caught myself asking john to get up and heat me food then getting mad him for missing part of the show we were watching while he was heating me food,” she wrote in a tweet. “It’s not an easy job, his.”

Legend had the right response. “You’re perfect,” he tweeted back with a heart eyes emoji.

Meanwhile, Twitter users were busy weighing in, of course.

“You are already married. It is safe to tell the truth now,” one tweet to the singer read.

“Well if he was a better husband he’d have moved a fridge and microwave into every room in the house, don’t blame yourself HE SHOULD BE THINKING!” comedian Urzila Carlson tweeted.

Teigen’s social media chronicles of her and Legend’s youngsters have been particularly relatable. Just days ago, she got her 4-year-old daughter Luna on camera asking to play the piano for a bit—without her younger brother Miles.

His response? “No.”

As Teigen captioned the clip, “*stares into space and cries*”

Melissa McCarthy and Octavia Spencer's BFF Showdown Takes an Unexpected Turn

Melissa McCarthy and Octavia Spencer are best friends—or so they thought.

The Thunder Force stars put their 20-year friendship to the test during Monday’s at-home episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon with a virtual game called BFF Showdown, where host Jimmy Fallon asked Melissa and Octavia questions to see who knows each other better. Based on the simple nature of the questions, Jimmy expected the game to go smoothly, but things took a surprising turn.

Kicking things off, the late night host asked the Gilmore Girls alum to name the college that Octavia went to. Taking a minute to think about it, Melissa answered, “Uh, you know what? I don’t think she went to school.” Octavia replied, “I absolutely did go to school,” making the funnywoman rethink her answer. “I’m getting, like, a probably like a Ft. Lauderdale University kind of feel,” she answered again. Unfortunately for Melissa, the answer was Auburn University.

Moving along to an even easier question, Octavia was asked if Melissa was married. Hesitating for a moment, the Oscar winner said, “Pass.” Surprised that didn’t know the answer, Melissa quipped, “You’re gonna pass?” Trying to give Octavia hints, the Bridesmaids star shouted, “Ben!” referencing her husband of 14 years Ben Falcone. “Well, he’s not my cousin…”

Acknowledging that things got off to a rocky start, Jimmy offered to re-start the game and gave the duo another chance to redeem themselves. Hoping Melissa would guess the answer right away, the Saturday Night Live alum asked her to say Octavia’s last name. Stalling, she replied, “You know what? It’s…I just don’t say it. You know, you don’t usually say…Man it’s like on the tip of my tongue. It rhymes with her first name, I think. Is it Octavia?”

Disappointed that her bestie couldn’t get the answer right, Octavia said, “Can we edit all of that out and, like, let this be the first question?” Melissa chimed in, “Octavia Boctavia.”

For the next question, Jimmy kept things simple and asked Octavia to describe what Melissa looked like. Putting on her glasses, The Shape of Water star examined the screen and confidently said, “She’s wearing green.” Shocked, Melissa fired back, “No, you’re wearing green. I’m not wearing green. Are you looking at yourself?”

See who won the BFF showdown in the hilarious video above!

(E! and NBC are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)

Don't Sleep on These 25 While You Were Sleeping Secrets

Can you believe it’s been 25 years since While You Were Sleeping woke us up to our insane love for Sandra Bullock?

Directed by John Turtletaub and starring the then up-and-coming star and Bill Pullman, the guy that didn’t stand a chance against Tom Hanks in Sleepless in Seattle, While You Were Sleeping surprised everyone when it became one of the most successful movies of 1995.

Starring Bullock as Lucy, a lonely fare token collector who is helplessly in love with Peter (Peter Gallagher), a commuter she admires from afar until she saves his life and then ends up telling his family, including his handsome brother Jack (Pullman), that she’s his fiancée. Unexpected romance, family bonding and a happy ending ensues.

Sure, it is a storyline that could’ve easily been creepy and taken a turn for a Lifetime thriller, but thanks to Bullock’s undeniable charisma and her charming chemistry with Pullman, While You Were Sleeping is still one of the genre’s most beloved offerings 25 years after its release.

However, it could’ve almost starred two other major rom-com leading ladies and a former James Bond.

Here are 25 secrets you might not know about While You Were Sleeping, including some surprising reveals about the original script from screenwriter Frederic Lebow, who wrote the movie with Daniel G. Sullivan…
