It’ll be all “Accio, script!” and “Sorry darling, I couldn’t hear you over conjuring my Patronus” in the Redmayne household in the coming months, because Eddie’s been offered the lead role in the new Harry Potter spin-off films!

According to Variety[2], Oscar winner Redmayne has been offered the lead in the “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” trilogy, which is set in the same universe as HP, but 70 years before the gang arrived at Hogwarts. If he says yes (and why wouldn’t he?) he’ll be playing Newt Scamander, a scientist with a specialisation in magical creatures (everyone’s back up plan, right?).

And how about this sweetener? JK Rowling will be making her screenwriting debut on these films. YES.
