Sephora's Introducing Credit Cards—and They'll Come With Perks
It’s finally happening: Sephora is launching credit cards for shoppers. Best of all? We don’t have that long to wait—the cards will be out this spring. Depending on your level of Sephora addiction, this could either be terrible or brilliant news, but we’re firmly on the latter side, especially now that we know all the perks the company’s building into these magical pieces of plastic.
Allure reports there’s not going to be one company credit card, but three: the Sephora Credit Card, Sephora Visa Credit Card, and Sephora Visa Signature Credit Card. They’re all seen as an extension of the company’s loyalty program and, according to a company statement, will be “taking our client experience to the next level through special access, rewards and perks.”
“The Sephora Credit Card was the natural next step in our loyalty journey, truly adding even more value that our clients can use not only within our stores, but also in their day-to-day lives,” Andrea Zaretsky, Sephora’s senior vice president of customer relations management and loyalty, said in the statement.
According to Allure, customers with the card will get bonus perks—what, specifically, these are is still TBD—in addition to those they get from already being in the Beauty Insider program.
As mentioned, the credit cards will make their debut in the spring, but some might have to wait a little longer than others to get one: They’ll be available in “select markets” first, Allure reports, and then expanding throughout the U.S. and online over time.
The company’s been on a roll lately: This announcement comes on the heels of Sephora reworking their Beauty Insider program to dish out more rewards to customers and allowing customers to use multiple discount codes when they check out online. More perks, more discounts, and now credit cards so we don’t have to wait until payday for that pedicure polish anymore? Into it.
