The Royal Family Just Got Together For a Surprise Photo Shoot
In celebration of Prince Charles’ 70th birthday, the royal family got together for a quick, casual photo-shoot. And the images are stunning, naturally.
Clarence House posted two pics by photographer Chris Jackson to its Instagram page, and they feature Prince Charles; Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall; Meghan Markle; Prince Harry; Kate Middleton; Prince William; and William and Kate’s three children Prince Louis, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte.
Jackson took the photos in the garden of Clarence House, though exactly when is still a mystery. Prince Charles’ birthday is tomorrow, but there was a celebration for it over the summer, so it’s very possible the photo shoot happened either then or now.
The first photo features the family all smiling. Markle is wearing a chic white Givenchy dress, while Middleton opted for a blue polka-dotted Alessandra Rich number with a preppy collar. Their husbands, Prince Harry and Prince William, each wore navy suit jackets with white button-down shirts. Prince Charles is rocking a pinstripe suit, Camilla is also wearing a white dress, and the kids all look adorable in various shades of powder blue.

The second photo is clearly an outtake, with Markle, Prince Harry, Prince William, and Prince George all laughing as they got into position. It’s arguably even cuter than the serious pic.
If the family decides to do a similar photo shoot next year, they’ll have another baby in the mix. Markle and Prince Harry announced via Kensington Palace in mid-October that they’re expecting their first child. It is due some time in the spring of 2019.
