The RCMP has arrested and charged a person in connection with the crash involving the Humboldt Broncos team bus and a transport truck.
The name of the person charged has not been released by police
The bus and truck collided at a rural intersection between Nipawin and Tisdale on April 6. Sixteen people were killed and 13 others were injured.
The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League’s Humboldt Broncos were heading to Nipawin for a playoff game when the collision occurred.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Highway 335 and Highway 35. The semi was heading west on Highway 335 and the team was headed north on Highway 35.
There is a stop sign on Highway 335 at the intersection.
The truck belonged to the Calgary-based Adesh Deol Trucking Ltd., according to Alberta Transportation. The driver of the truck was uninjured in the crash, according to the owner of the company.
Ten members of the Broncos died. The six other deaths included the bus driver, an athletic therapist, the head coach, assistant coach and two employees of Humboldt’s FM radio station.
The RCMP will give further details at a news conference in Regina this afternoon at 1 p.m. CST (3 p.m. ET).
