Meghan Markle is officially back on Instagram, and it’s about time. Ever since she shut down her social media channels—and her blog, The Tig, RIP—ahead of marrying Prince Harry last May, we’ve missed her terribly.

Of course, fans of the royal couple have been able to follow along with their tours and engagements via the @KensingtonRoyal handle, but now Meghan and Harry have a profile all their own: @RoyalSussex. The first post’s caption is signed by Harry and Meghan and reads, “Welcome to our official Instagram; we look forward to sharing the work that drives us, the causes we support, important announcements, and the opportunity to shine a light on key issues. We thank you for your support, and welcome you to @sussexroyal.”

The move comes after the previous announcement that the couple would be establishing their own household separate from Prince William and Kate Middleton, who will retain the Kensington Royal handles. But the split is not part of any big drama, as was otherwise reported. The brothers now have their own families; and once their father, Prince Charles, becomes king, their royal duties will continue to diverge even further. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex even hired a woman who used to advise Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton to run their communications team. This new Instagram handle is the first big public move the team has made.

All the other royal handles were quick to welcome the Sussexes to the mix, naturally:

It will be interesting to see if Team Sussex deploys a different social media strategy than others in the family. Meghan certainly has the background for it. While we won’t likely see as much of her life as we did when she was an actress and an influencer, the platform will surely play up the couple’s global appeal—and the couple has previously shared photos they took themselves on their old handles. The follower count is already at 300,000 and growing and includes friends like makeup artist Daniel Martin, Priyanka Chopra, and Jessica Mulroney. So here’s hoping for a good amount of Baby Sussex photos once he or she is born.
