A series of small explosions rang out as a fire ripped through a Nisku recycling business Wednesday night.
Video footage of the scene taken by various witnesses shows a large fire and plumes of smoke coming from an industrial park south of Edmonton.
Leduc County firefighters were called to the scene at Recycle Systems Company Inc. at 1508 10 St. at 10 p.m.
The business recycles aerosol cans and compressed gas products.
Fire crews were on hand Thursday morning to put out hot spots, although there are no visible flames or smoke.
Kyle Oetiker showed up early Thursday to check for fire damage to the building where he works, next to the recycling company.
There was no damage to the building next door, only a number of small aerosol cans in the yard, Oetiker said.
