Edmonton's mayoral hopefuls make 1st pitch for your vote in all-candidates forum

Edmonton voters are getting their first opportunity to see and hear from the 13 mayoral candidates Tuesday.

Due to the large number of candidates, Edmonton Elections has decided to make the noon-hour forum, hosted at the Shaw Conference Centre, an introduction-to-the-candidates session.

Candidates will present their platforms, but will not be asked questions by the public.

CBC is livestreaming the one-hour session here.

Edmonton Elections is extending mayoral forums scheduled for Oct. 3 and Oct. 11 from two to three hours starting at 6:30 p.m. to allow voters to question the candidates.

Edmontonians go to the polls on Oct. 16.
