Students at St. Paul Elementary School spent days last week preparing lunches to handout to Edmonton’s homeless in the inner city.
On Thursday the kindergarten to Grade 6 students distributed the packages, which included sandwiches, granola bars, yogurt, fruit, water and personal hygiene products and socks.
The students were responsible for putting the lunches together, said anti-poverty activist Dan Johnstone, who helped put the event together.
