VANCOUVER — Cassie Campbell isn’t surprised that members of the U.S. women’s hockey team are talking about boycotting the upcoming world championships in Plymouth, Mich., describing USA Hockey’s long-term treatment of the group as “ridiculous.”

The Canadians and the Americans have played in the final of all 17 world championships that have been contested. It suggests that women’s hockey is a small world. None of the Canadian players, however, had spoken to their American counterparts as of Wednesday afternoon.
“I’ve yet to have anyone reach out from that side,” said Irwin.
“No one has reached out to me,” said Jenner.
American veteran Jocelyne Lamoureux-Davidson told the Associated Press that she and her teammates want to play in Michigan.
“But it’s been 14 months and we haven’t seen progress, so if there’s progress within the next week and a half, we’ll see,” she said. “But there needs to be significant steps taken. Hopefully, USA Hockey finds this significant enough to want to start making progress with us.”
