Two exciting events in Chicago will occur early next week. The first is a live recording of Anna Sale’s beloved podcast, “Death, Sex & Money,” which explores how money, relationships and work all become intertwined. The event will take place at 8pm on Monday November 14th at the Music Box Theater. Guests on the show will include Chaz Ebert as well as writer and actor Mara Wilson, best known for her childhood roles in “Mrs. Doubtfire” and “Matilda.” The evening will include many other surprises including a screening of “Clueless,” Wilson’s favorite movie, after the podcast. Both Ebert and Wilson have had to process profound grief after the death of loved ones. Wilson’s mother passed away during the filming of “Doubtfire.”

Sale said, “Listeners appreciate hearing from previous guests. It’s almost like catching up with family.” She also said that Ebert’s appearance on her podcast was one of their most popular episodes, and so invited her for the live audience recording.

Ebert will also be moderating a panel scheduled as part of Film Week at SoHo House Chicago, a private members’ club aimed primarily at those in the arts and media. The event takes place from 6:30pm to 8pm on Tuesday, November 15th, and is entitled “Storytelling at the Intersection of Film and Technology in the Digital Age.” The distinguished experts on the panel will bring their expertise in various areas ranging from academic theory to commercial/advertorial, long form filmmaking, short form digital, Virtual Reality, gaming and various other applications.

The scheduled panelists include Daria Tsoupikova, Associate Professor in the School of Design and the Electronic Visualization Laboratory at the University of Illinois at Chicago; Tim Tennant, founder of Content Marketing Solutions; Dr. Aymar Jean Christian, assistant professor in the Media, Technology and Society program in the Department of Communication Studies at Northwestern University; and Jeff Tetrault, co-founder of Philo Media.
