One adult and several students were transported to hospital Friday morning after a car collided with a Parkland County school bus.
Stony Plain RCMP were called to the scene at 8:21 a.m. near the intersection of Township Road 514 and Range Road 261.
About 34 students were on the bus, which was en route to Parkland Immanuel Christian School, an independent Christian K-12 school.
Some students were taken to an Edmonton hospital with minor injuries, RCMP said in a news release..
Two adults were involved in the crash. One of them was transported to an Edmonton hospital with serious injuries.
As of 11 a.m., RCMP officers remained at the scene, with emergency crews and school representatives.
Parents of the students involved have been contacted and the school is providing support.
Motorists are asked to avoid this area as an RCMP collision analyst is conducting an on-scene investigation.
