Police are investigating after an improvised explosive device was found Tuesday afternoon at a Mill Woods home.
The Edmonton Police Service offered few details, but said in a media release the the bomb unit remains on scene at 20th Avenue and 46th Street as of 8:15 Tuesday evening.
Officers are evacuating residents within a one-block radius of the home under investigation, and Pollard Meadows School is open for residents who wish to wait there.
Edmonton Fire Rescue Services and EMS are on standby, police say.
