Edmonton police say there’s no risk to the public after a loud bang was heard in downtown Edmonton on Wednesday morning.
The noise had some commuters on social media scratching their heads.

The sound came from a flash bang the Edmonton Police Service used while conducting a search warrant in the downtown area, EPS spokeswoman Anna Batchelor said.
Batchelor said the tactical team is involved in an “ongoing operation” and there is no risk to public safety, but could not provide more information.
