Edmontonians can resume normal water use after EPCOR lifted its water restriction on Monday.
The restriction was put in place last week, after heavy rainfall increased levels of debris in the North Saskatchewan River and slowed down potable water production.
As a result, demand for drinking water in the city exceeded production and treatment levels, and residents were asked to cut back on non-essential water use.
Water storage levels have now returned to acceptable working levels, EPCOR said in a news release.
Though the restriction has been lifted, EPCOR still recommends Edmontonians use water wisely.
