A woman from Eabametoong was charged with two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking after the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit received information about illegal drug trafficking from Thunder Bay to Eabametoong.
The 32-year-old woman was in possession of percocet and oxycodone prescription pills with a total street value of over $10k. Police said she was destined for the First Nation Territory of Eabametoong, 385 km northeast of Thunder Bay.
She will appear in a Thunder Bay court in July.
